0-3 prediction from the OP??

Erm...aside from the Forest game, we've hardly been in free-flowing goalscoring form ourselves recently. We've had a lot of slender 1-0 wins actually, because our forwards can't seem to finish for shiiiit.

IF we do beat you at Molineux this weekend, I'd be shocked if it's more than a 2 goal margin. Don't see it at all. I'm sure it'll be a tough game as it usually is when we play you.

When Wolves saw Raul named on the bench they contacted Mexico for an explanation as he is still injured and not due to return until later this month. I have seen Mexico's reply - they confirmed he was never due to play and wanted to be around the team. They apologised.

Mexico have written to Wolves to apologise for naming Raul Jimenez on the bench. They have confirmed he was never due to play, but included so he could be around the squad. It has been a terrible look for all involved. Davis says Wolves are unhappy. #wwfc https://expressandstar.com/sport/football/wolverhampton-wanderers-fc/2022/11/09/wolves-interim-boss-steve-davis-mexico-have-apologised-for-naming-raul-jimenez-on-the-bench/

Seems a professional foul only gets a one game ban apparently so Semedo will unfortunately be available Saturday

A game between the team 19th and the team top leads to a pretty obvious conclusion as to what the likely outcome will be. Arsenal have a mobile attack that will create chances against the current Wolves back line that hasn’t looked well organised under the temporary management. And Wolves limited forward scoring ability is unlikely to cause Arsenal too many problems. So an away win is odds on, but hopefully Wolves can make a game of it and if we can stay in the game for the first 20 minutes or so, who knows

Michael Beale turned down Wolves and also evidently spoke to Southampton. Meanwhile in their last 4 games QPR have drawn one and lost 3, and have fallen from top to 6th. Did we dodge a bullet there?

Obviously the difference in form between the two teams points to only one result. However, a closer examination of respective goals for and against suggests that a rout is unlikely.

Arsenal average 2.4 and 0.9,
we average 0.6 and 1.7.

Maybe 1-2 or at worst 1-3 are more likely score lines.

Pleased to see that Conor Coady has made the final England squad. Can’t help feeling we would have got a few more results if he had done that as a member of the Wolves squad

No doubt about that.

Maybe we can try and loan a full international world cup squad player from a rival? Everton made it look easy enough.

Utterly stupid from start to finish by Wolves management.

Mo Salah's not going to be busy over the next few weeks. I'm sure we could persuade him to come to Wolves. A loan fee of about £10m should do it based on Coady's evaluation.

Reports continue to link us with the Real Madrid players Nacho Fernandes, a centre back, and Mariano Diaz, a striker. Both are just occasional first team squad players and both are out of contract in the summer of 2023. Should be possible to get them on a 6 month loan until they become free agents

Why do people refer to stats?

Football is a silly old game. Anything can happen.

Hope Arsenal will win though.

Gillingham at home next round. We could get to the last 8

couldn't ask for a better draw. Now we have to do the business

Only two teams below Gillingham in League Two. Be a disappointing start for Lopetegui if we don’t beat them

Now the WC squads have been announced arsenal's players will mostly trying to avoid injury this weekend. We'll smash em.

Yeah it is an interesting situation a little bit. You could understand a few players dialing it back a little so it would be nie if we really started at a strong pace and got at them a bit.

We have players going to the World Cup too though

We have brought in the ex Spain, Real Madrid and Seville manager. Southampton have brought in the ex Luton and Stoke manager. Might be a factor over the rest of the season unless you are in the wolfie camp of believing these things aren't important
