We have brought in the ex Spain, Real Madrid and Seville manager. Southampton have brought in the ex Luton and Stoke manager. Might be a factor over the rest of the season unless you are in the wolfie camp of believing these things aren't important

He's gone quiet recently? Maybe even he is starting to realise that his prediction of top six is unlikely now.

Birmingham have one of the best defensive records in the Championship. John Ruddy has been reliable in goal which is one factor. And Dion Sanderson has impressed in defence as he did on his last loan at Sunderland. Both these clubs would like to sign him permanently in January so Wolves have a decision to make on his future

Lopetegui is in the house and has met the players and staff today ahead of attending the game tomorrow

Sanderson was on loan at Blues first half of last season. Then at QPR for the second half of the season. I went to watch Blues last year when he was there and wasn't overly impressed. We should probably cash in if we can.

Thought Sarkic looked very good in goal so we have a great backup, problem is Sa is only 29 so should have a few years ahead.
Nice problem to have but Sarkic may not be happy as back up for years.
Incidentally he was born in Grimsby so qualifies as English.

Julen arrives. He just oozes a strong presence doesn't he. I am excited for the future again, we are not as broken as it currently seems.

Nice of Arsenal fans to be so arrogant & doing lots of research about us, there are things in here that are blatently untrue & yet they put it out there

Kenny Jackett took over at Wolves in the summer of 2013 when we were in League One. His first game in charge at Molineux was against Gillingham and we won 4-0. Hoping for the same from Julen

Interesting that this World cup break which most fans roundly hated the idea of, actually looks like been a massive blessing in disguise for us.

Poor form has cost one or two a world cup spot so most players will remain with the club and new manager as if it is a pre season really and the u21s continue fixtures so the likes of Bueno and Hodge can get game time to maintain fitness.

How many have we got going to Qatar? Sa, Neves, Nunes for def. Jimenez but not sure why? (ditto Kalvin Phillips for England but that's another story).

Hwang?

Then Corbeanu and Coady who are on loan so effectively 4 of our current squad, 5 if you count the injured Raul.

yeah that is it. Though has Jimenez made it into the final 26? They had a provisional 31 man squad named.

There'll be a lot of unhappy people if Jimenez makes a cameo appearance and f's himself up again.

I hope he makes the squad and gets some games to be honest. Injury could come anytime and if he is that fragile I would rather know pre January. He didn't look particularly flexible in his right leg in a warm up vid i saw.

The irony here of course is Hwang probably plays the most minutes

My favourite bit is where he tell Nunes to 'look after that shoulder' and then proceeds to slap him on the shoulder.

Hope Raul makes the World Cup. It would at least prove he is fit. Plus if he did play and looked good then maybe he could still do a job for us, and Raul being anything like the player of two years ago would be a great boost for us. Conversely if he looks as ineffective as he has done for much of the last year or so then I think his time with us would be up

Jonny evidently picked up a slight hamstring injury on Wednesday and has to be a doubt for tomorrow, with Semedo the obvious replacement.

Nunes is fit and available for selection

Ha, yeah with Son out he probably will.

Hope Jimenez only plays if he's fit and ready, he's still got plenty to offer I reckon if he's fully fit and up for it. Problem is I'm not sure if I trust the Mexican FA to put his and our interests before theirs.

Had a brief chat with Don Goodman in the pub tonight, he rather enjoyed our win over Leeds the other night it seems. I was waiting for him to start describing in detail his goal against them in that cup game back in the day but both unusually and disappointingly he didn't.

FA cup quarter wasn't it?

U21s beat Reading 2-1 yesterday in their league cup

Only three u21 teams got through from the northern section of the Papa Johns Trophy to the knockout stage and from the 16 teams two of them got drawn to play each other. Wolves are away at Man Utd

Think so, was the same year we got to the semi against Arsenal as I recall.

With 6 hours to go there is a lot of unsold seats. Can't see us topping 30K.

Evening match and poor form the factors I guess.

Never sure that playing a team so far ahead of us in the table should put people off. Reckon it might be a good game myself, sadly one we will likely lose. Going for 1-2.

With Man City losing at home to Brentford, Arsenal have the chance to go 5 points clear at the top with a win tonight

Don’t know where you got that info from wulfrun. There’s about 20 single seats unsold
