Not sure we’re desperate for a defensive signing. Needs organising by a better coach which we’ve now got. Not much wrong with the defence
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not much wrong with a defence that concedes more?
Got it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You’ll never get it pundit. Might as well get banned again.
I know like wolfie you didn’t believe having a guy that failed at Crewe Alexandra in charge would make any difference. But I think it did
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You also thought we had one of the best front lines in the division quite recently! How did that work out for you?

Not sure why you're dragging me into your ongoing conflict with the "consistently banned one", but it's all about our opinions. That's something you fail to recognize, or accept.
I don't think I've ever agreed with wolfie when logged into any of my accounts? Certainly not regarding the appointment of an inexperienced coach instead of a manager/conductor 😆
Sellars had left and Matt Hobbs had been appointed sporting director. So the core management team has become smaller. Not sure how culpable Sellars was for our predicament, he seemed to become the fall guy for the twitterati and the mol mix rabble but I guess we'll never really know for sure who made some of the catalogue of bizarre decisions which have led us to selling and loaning some of our best players and leaving the squad thin in important areas.

I have been told that many of the ridiculous decisions taken in the summer regarding our load business, where definitely down to Lage.
Sellars had no real say in the decision making process, in my opinion he deserves some sympathy.
Heard Shi was overuling the pair of them
Hobbs was interesting other sides apparently so was likely going to leave without the promotion

Yes, that’s what I was told as well in regards to some of the other transfer decisions. Coadys loan was just Lage though.
Even Shi was overruled when it came to bringing Nuno back though, as someone high up at Fosun in China pulled the plug on that after they had travelled to Saudi to set it up
Wayne Hennessey gets a straight red for clattering Iranian striker. Actually hit him on the chin with his knee.
Wales get stuffed 2-0 by Iran with the second goal going in on the 100th minute.
Deserved win for Iran.
Surprised but not too sorry for the Welsh, thought they would beat Iran quite easily to be honest. I guess this will be the end a few international careers now, Hennessey, Bale, Ramsey, Allen and Wales will go another 64 years without qualifying.
Thought Iran deserved the win on the day. Wales could still qualify if they give England a thrashing though.
In the Portugal game the other day Neves was rated 4th best from the BBC ratings (not sure what all that means). Interestingly, Ronaldo was rated 11th for them.
Today Bale was rated 15th with Ramsey 14th.
Bale got and converted the pen for Wales in their first game. Not sure he did anything else in either of their games. And Ronaldo has looked a spent force all this season.
Thought Neves did well. Saw a lot of the ball in front of the Portuguese defence, and don’t think any of his passes went astray
In order to sign players from abroad in January, Wolves will have to remove players from their premier league registered list as they are currently up to the limit of 17 foreign players. They could easily remove Kalajdzic and Chiquinho who won’t play this season, and Bonatini who won’t be used.
Another possibility is Adama Traore. He will be able to leave for free next summer when he is out of contract so Wolves may accept any half decent offer for him in January. There is evidently interest from some of the top clubs in Italy with Napoli, Juventus and Roma making enquiries
See that Mike Tyson is a Wolves fan. Just as well, as a boxing fan I've never seen a boxer as murderously destructive as Iron Mike.
The players not involved in the World Cup returned to training today after a week off. The first training session under Lopetegui and his team.
With over 4 weeks to go until the next league game, and the players already match fit, it would be interesting to know what the training regime will be. They do have the League cup match before that which, I guess, will only involve the non-WC players.

supposedly some friendlies will be played and we are going to Spain(?) I think.
Raul on the bench again for Mexico. Would be nice if he came on and dumped Argentina out of the competition.
Former wolves keeper in goal for Argentina
I’m sure Argentina will go up a gear today. I’d be surprised if they don’t blow Mexico away
Would be nice to see Raul come off the bench and score his first Mexico goal from open play in three years.
Surely one of the three members of one of the finest front lines in the Premier League 😹
