I expect most teams have their injury lists now and Div 1 squads are much smaller and weaker than we are used to. Will be interesting in the third round of the cup where the Championship and Premier clubs have been resting whereas the lower league clubs have been playing. I wonder if it will make a difference.

Portsmouth are above us with a game in hand so this is a tough game followed by a day out in the valleys
and a tough home fixture. Bit of a rest between Pompey and Newport so I am not taking injuries as an excuse. Warne doesn't seem to either.

Tough game. Considering the defenders who have been missing we have been very solid at the back. Forsyth gets more than his share of criticism but for me he has always been a solid player and in the last few games he has been outstanding. He looks fitter than ever. With Didzy playing the whole game against Torquay I very much doubt he will start but what a player to have as an option off the bench. Barkhuizen probably back on the bench too. We'll have to see if Roberts is fit to play and if Rooney keeps his place. Might be:

Wildsmith

Smith Rooney Cashin Forsyth Roberts

Bird Hourihane

NML Collins Dobbin

Might be indeed. Much as I had speculated but not confident enough to suggest. 🐏

MATCH DAY!!!!!!!!!

Morning View, Morning all.
An interesting game beckons tonight. Must admit I'm looking forward to it. We have a 7 game unbeaten run going at the moment and Pompey above us in the league will give us a strong test. That said they've drawn something like 5 out out the last 7 games, so I reckon we're in with a chance here. We've generally found scoring easier under the current management.... although we have been prone to giving away the odd penalty here and there. I'm going for a win. 2 0 or 2 1.
Cheers. Terry. UTR

Not expecting to come out on top today, must be a lot of tired legs, I just hope we get a draw out of it just to keep the moment going.

I thought that was Ug?

I also went to the dentist today, what are the chances? No teeth out but I was subjected to a prolonged discussion between the bloke poking away at my chompers and his attractive assistant about the problems she is having with the boiler in her new flat. I felt he wasn't fully concentrating on the job in hand. He advised bleeding the radiators but she didn't know what that meant. Then she broadened the discussion to a story of how she dealt with a large spider she had found in her bathroom this morning, the first time she had ever had to do such a thing, only recently having left the family home. I had much to offer the conversation but all I could manage was the occasional "Aaah" which probably didn't add much.
