The I'm asking will Africa emerge as an elite footballing continent if it isn't already....

I'd say....they're East Asian people. Its odd to me.....that's all

OP .....
please give us your take on the difference between nationality and race.
Given that human beings as far as we are aware originated in Africa does that mean none of us can represent countries outwith that continent?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I dont have a concrete opinion and haven't studied or pondered it enough to say.....its not an area of interest for me. I'm just having a casual and respectful conversation on my part here
You're really not being respectful. You're making a stupid point badly.

So in the UK, Brazil and The US etc.......a lot of black people are completely severed from their heritage and often have adopted family names given by slave owners etc.
They should be treated with utmost respect and sensitivity.....

I dont think its an especially difficult subject to understand but who am I to judge.
I suggest before creating an article giving an opinion involving race and nationality that you take the time out to learn the difference.
And if it not an area of interest to you then why bother creating the article.

Got it. Yeah I think you shouldn't have created an article. As said above - if you care that much try and know what you're talking about. If you don't, don't make articles about race and nationality based on ignorance.
Look I'm a 3rd generation immigrant, maybe two thridss of my friends are 2nd/3rd generation immigrants from Asia, Africa, Middle Eastern.
We love England, we are here because its a good place. None of us consider ourselves english, we don't eat English food.....our weddings aren't English.....our traditions aren't English. We don't look English.
It would benefit us to be English in a lot of social circumstances....we of course have the same rights and freemdoms as everyone else here.....its wonderful.
Being a famous footballer is obviously a very different thing.....but I'm talking from someone who knows.
There are loads of south Asians in Britain, you give us the opportunity to play sport with wondeful infrastructure.....which is is good for us.
However if the England squad was 80% Hussains, Khans, Patels, Akhtars, Alis........it wouldn't be a majority south Asian.
Unfortunately south Asians aren't as athletic gifted genetically as Africans so that'll likely never happen.
It’s an ethnonationalist argument that has been rejected by liberal democracies decades ago. It’s only the far right and the ignorant that try to use this same argument today to try and define nationality.
Yeah still not getting it
Listen, I've got england shirts, dreamed of scoring goals for England as a teenager playing football. I got where you all are coming from....
I was gutted when England were knocked out of WC 2002, Euro 2004 and WC 2006.
Steven Gerrard was my absolute hero growing up......but I'm not English. Just like most of your kids will not be Chinese regardless of where you raise them, where they are born and how much they love China.

"consideration" doesnt supersede fact though.
the facts are you were born in England therefore by definition of the world nationality you are English.
Opinion and feelings have zero to do with it.
Much like me saying regardless of my skin tone I dont feel white, I feel black therefore I am.
like I said if you wanna comment on a subject about race and nationality take the time to learn the difference.
And for someone who is not particularly interested in the subject, you seem to spend a lot of time talking about it albeit whilst being ignorant
Come to Salah
To give you the benefit of the doubt, you're not a racist. Ok. What you're doing is framing the discussion in an outdated fashion so that how you're expressing yourself appears racist. I mean, you're looking at skin colour and the sound of names to decide where people are from. It's ignorant and very much the language of the right wing. Before you go and think of more different ways of saying it, I suggest you take a minute to think about what you're actually saying and why.
If two Chinese people have a baby in Africa.....and you met that child.....and he told you he was African and definitely not Chinese......you'd laugh in his/her face
