Come to Salah

To give you the benefit of the doubt, you're not a racist. Ok. What you're doing is framing the discussion in an outdated fashion so that how you're expressing yourself appears racist. I mean, you're looking at skin colour and the sound of names to decide where people are from. It's ignorant and very much the language of the right wing. Before you go and think of more different ways of saying it, I suggest you take a minute to think about what you're actually saying and why.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree.. I talk in simple terms. Its on purpose to drive the point home.

They have a right to play for France, tbh they probably owe France a lot of gratutude for the life they live.

But trust me, they are African men

If two Chinese people have a baby in Africa.....and you met that child.....and he told you he was African and definitely not Chinese......you'd laugh in his/her face

One of my best friends was born in Qatar to an English father and Malaysian mother. Has been raised in England since he was six months old. He’s English/British, you don’t get to tell him he’s not because he’s of mixed race and heritage, because you’ve got an ignorant view of nationality.

Listen, I've got england shirts, dreamed of scoring goals for England as a teenager playing football. I got where you all are coming from....

I was gutted when England were knocked out of WC 2002, Euro 2004 and WC 2006.

Steven Gerrard was my absolute hero growing up......but I'm not English. Just like most of your kids will not be Chinese regardless of where you raise them, where they are born and how much they love China.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hang on. So if I had a kid in China, raised them there and it's all they ever knew, they wouldn't be Chinese? You're a moron.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is every (90%+) 2nd/3rd generation immigrant I know a moron?

If your child had a say English name, spoke English at home, ate English food almost every meal, had an English wedding......that kid is not not Chinese

Your lad....Little James who looks like David Beckham......is not chinese....sorry to break it to you

Ignorance is not an excuse when you have the tools available to eliminate it.

you refuse to learn the meaning of the word therefore you are complicit in being ignorant.

thats far worse than someone who is not educated.

what is the definition of nationality.........

I'm talking from experience.....go talk to some brown people and some black people who aren't severed from their heritage and have a conversation with them.

You are all mostly talking theoretically.....I live the situation, I live amongst immigrants and their kids, i am one......I know.

I'll bet good money you haven't taken the time to ask them how they identify. For sure it's not a simple answer.

For what it's worth, I have had those discussions. They're Canadian but proud of their heritage. Both can be true.

You're missing a big part of what makes Britain great. Being inclusive and accepting rather than ignorant and divisive.

People ask me everyday, are you indian, pakistani etc.

Why do they do that?

Why do I give them the answer?

Apparently I'm English

Why do I eat the food I do?

Why did I have a certain type of wedding?

Why do I give my child a certain type of name (much like the people playing for france have)

I married a white woman, she brilliant.....there's no issue....but I'm not English. Why do people ask about my daughters ethnicity?

Nationality is something g written on a piece of paper that can be changed in and hour. Some of my friends live In Dubai.....are their kids Arab? Are they heck

posted on 16/12/22

I'm not denying what makes Britain great......there's a reason I'm here. I'm not criticising anyone or any nation

Nationality I'd something written in a on a piece of paper.....nationality is a very modern thing

DNA however is not

i doubt people ask you everyday.

What is the definition of nationality ?

Arab is not a nationality therefore has nothing to do with the point in hand.

But in the scenario we're talking about, they were born there, speak the language, socialise with Chinese people, vote (ok maybe not in China) in elections, do lots of 'Chinese things' every day. They've never left the country. They'd have British heritage but they're not British.

You really need to get away from race=nationality. All you're doing is perpetuating that you're not very bright and you meet lots of similarly thick people. I've met people like you before. 'I'm not from this country so I can't be racist' types are the worst.

Mate my kid is mixed....my friends are a melting pot of ethnicities.....if someone from my background was abusive to another....I'd put him in check within seconds

Not once in this discussion or topic have I said anything with negative intention towards any country, tribe, ethnicity

Tbh it's better for me to watch the franch team assembled than scattered amongst the African nations they come from. I'm not interested in what suits us....I'm interested in reality

Your reality. Which should be quite apparent by now is not the actual reality that most people live in. You don't get to decide based on things you've admitted you don't properly understand, where other people are from or not.

Brother I have a first class engineering degree, I'm neither dumb or a genius.

Who am I racist towards? This is a very common topic amongst immigrants and their descendants.....trust 90%+ agree with me

Especially African & South Asians

posted on 16/12/22

I don't trust you at all. I've had enough discussions with people myself to know that you're wrong. Or at least it's not nearly as straightforward as you're making out for most people.

you have already said that you do not know the difference between race and nationality.

Until you do understand the difference there is zero point in continuing the argument about a subject you refuse to learn about due to not being interested in it (depsit then spending over a day talking about it)

your full of $hit then IMO . I dont believe that someone with an engineering degree cannot give the literal definition of nationality and can differentiate between race and nationality.

so your either full of $hit or a troll

posted on 16/12/22

You should maybe read up on these things rather than repeating ethnonationalist tropes. Or speak to people that don’t share the same ignorant views on nationality.
