The single biggest and most important anomaly is that Celtic have won far more titles and cups than any other team over the past 10 years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s not really an anomaly though, is it? The league has been a 2 horse race for decades now. One of the horses is suffering from being lame though…
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To win so many trophies in a row literally is an anomaly though. 3 times since the formation of both clubs have 9 league titles been won in a row.

The reason I have picked stats for individual seasons is because A) they're easy to find, and B) they illustrate wide variability in the data. The second point is critical because it shows there is no discernible pattern over the period you've chosen to examine - a period you've chosen because one stat (a comparison of two unrelated numbers) suits the argument you want to make.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I take it that sounded sensible in your head?
The whole reason you don’t use individual seasons is because of the possibility of a variance. That’s why you use a wider data set. Using a time period when both clubs are in the same league seems reasonable.
I also used that time period because there was no break in the timeline then. If you want to widen that time period, I don’t have a problem with that. Go back further and maybe the numbers are closer?!
It doesn’t change the facts of the current anomaly that’s being discussed though, that during a period of near total Celtic domination, there is a huge disparity between penalties awarded and given against that sits completely out of kilter with any other European league.

Celtic have had a great season and have a squad littered with talent headed by an experienced, talented and well liked manager. The obsession with meaningless stats is beyond bizzare
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Goldson let off with at least five penalties against just him this season alone, never mind any other Rangers players.
Rangers are at least 12, and maybe 18 points better off because of absolutely dodgy officiating. But when you play in Europe, your on a level playing field, and don't get the same 'favourable' decisions you get every week in Scotland.
I just don't understand why any of the Rangers fans aren't embarrassed by it. If that happened to Celtic, it would be a riddy for the support, winning stuff, and not deserving it - Maybe we're just different

Since rangers came back to the top division in 16/17, Celtic have conceded 24 penalties. Rangers have conceded 14.
Rangers have been awarded 51 to Celtic’s 46.
This is currently the second season since then that rangers have not had a penalty awarded against them so far.
I think any rational person would say considering how the leagues have played out since then that there’s an anomaly there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I honestly cant get over how ridiculous this comment is
Over the course of seven seasons...SEVEN seasons
One team has been awarded 5 more penalties than the other
and the same team has conceeded 10 less penalties than the other
So over the SEVEN seasons....this averages out as said team getting about 1 more penalty awarded to them per season (0.7), and getting about 1-2 less penalties given against them per season (1.4).
Hold the fcking phone...what an anomaly that is

They all quote the same bits as we both have, and as I said to you-I think he’s winding the rangers fans up-which clearly worked as you could remember something he said 3 and a half years after he said it!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I gave you a direct quote. Scroll down your first link a bit further, and you’ll see he embellishes further.
Like I said, daft disputing it was offside, now your disputing a direct quote
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He wasn't offside. Simple.

I think that reply sums things up for you being honest.
Rather than read what I actually wrote, you just managed to dive in. Just seeing what you want to see.
Want to try reading again?

So a Celtic player calls the goal offside, but you think he isn’t calling the goal offside

That wasn’t your original point though, was it?
‘ I gave you a direct quote. Scroll down your first link a bit further, and you’ll see he embellishes further.’
And I addressed that, didn’t I?
Now-you’re choosing to believe that 1 part of what he says is absolutely what he thinks, and ignoring his earlier comment. Think I also have a fairly plausible reason for both the things he said as well…
To think I was the one being accused of only picking the bits that suit me as well.
Anything else? I’ve noticed how you’ve scatter gunned a lot of stuff at me through this thread, and we’re now down to just 1 item. Good stuff.

I’ve already noted how your responses are laughable, why I’ve not bothered. Happy for you to instead think you’ve put together some great arguments if that makes you feel warm inside
But found you disputing a fact too good to not respond to

You’ve been arguing that facts I’ve given all day are somehow irrelevant-confusing them with my opinions.
You’re now using an opinion-that in the same interview casts doubts on your fact-to back your stance?!
Your head must be hurting by now with all the flip flopping you’ve been doing.

You’ve missed the point, again.

No, not at all. Not like when you missed my point earlier about Ajer’s quotes.
You’ve done a lot of projecting on this thread. You won’t notice it-clearly-but it’s been interesting to see.

The bit that’s least surprising is that the context of it has gone right over your head.
