This should be good..................
1. 91 Cup semi final - Spurs 3-1 Arsenal. I know we beat Forest in the final but that semi win was so unexpected against an almost unbeatable Arsenal side at the time. Plus, of course, THAT goal.
(1999 League Cup didn't really hit the mark with me. I was at uni at the time nd just had other priorities. Still watched it but can't say it had a lasting impact)
2. 2008 League Cup final v Chelsea. Pretty special feeling beating that Chelsea side.
3. The rise under Poch - not really a moment as such but in all my time supporting Spurs, I've never seen a trajectory like it. Routinely outplaying bigger sides was unheard of. Even during the battle of the bridge I wasn't hurting that much because I saw a team of fighters will to give everything. We were so good between 2016-2018.
4. CLQF - Man City (A) This, for me beats the League Cup win (as does number 5). That turnaround from despair to elation was just amazing. That VAR call. Wow. Just wow. Superb stuff. The pub I was in went nuts.
5. CLSF - Ajax (A) Talking of turnarounds, this one beats them all. Probably, for me, the highest I've ever felt after any Spurs game. No joke. Just THE best feeling ever.
What's interesting is that 4 out of 5 of my answers aren't winning a final. So many fans obsess about trophies without clocking that it's the journey to potential success or ultimate failure that truly stays with you. Winning finals is great but there's a long road to get there and often they're the best bits.
How anyone could put that League Cup win in 1999 ahead of the CL moments is completely beyond me.
I should say mine are in chronological order, not order of preference.
1) 1984 My First Spurs Game.. UEFA Cup Final second leg Vs Anderlecht.... Saw Graham Roberts lift the trophy @ the lane standing on the shelf
2) 1991 FA Cup Semi Final Vs Woolwich... GAZZA, went to the semi but couldn't get a ticket for the final
3) 1987 Last day of the season Vs Oxford United. Hoddle (My all time fav player) ran the length of the pitch, sat the keeper down and scored with a couple minutes to go.. His last game before he moved to Monaco.
4) Moura Vs Ajax... went completely mental at home with a houseful of Yanks.. Most of who'm haven't looked at me normally since
5) 1987.... My one and only FA cup final, My fav Spurs team ever.. Hoddle, Waddle, Clive Allen, Ossie, Chris Hughton, Paul Allen Richard Gough, Danny Thomas etc.. I know we lost the same but I took my wooden shoebox so I could stand on it to see. I remember being passed over the heads of all the blokes in the terraces to the front so that I could see. Met up with my Dad after the game. I think Keith Houchen's header might be one of the best ever Final goals.... Old school football day out !!

You sound like you might be a similar age to me but we couldn't get to games when I was a kid as we weren't from London. I'm guessing you're fractionally older, maybe 45ish.
1) Moura v Ajax
2) sterling goal disallowed
3) Bale v Inter
4) Kane's double when we beat Arsenal
5) League Cup 2008
I rate the champions league moments above the league Cup.
I've done individual games. But the poch season where we won 17 and drew 2 at WHL was the first time I've ever gone to games knowing we'll almost certainly win. That was by far the best period of watching spurs.

Yeah Im 45, I was only 7 when my day took me to the UEFA Cup Final, & 10 at the FA Cup final. Being the only & youngest son (3 sisters) and born/grew up in North London before moving to the home counties & then on to the US... I was born into it, 3rd generation .... Old man couldn't wait to take me
Mine are:
1. The CL quarter final away win vs City. Seriously, you just can't match that for drama! We were dead and buried......and then VAR came to the rescue!
2. The miraculous comeback against Ajax in the CL semi final second leg.
3. 1991 FA cup semi final against Arsenal. Gazza's free kick. I nearly broke my neck leaping out of my chair to celebrate!
4. 1984 UEFA cup win. When's the last time Woolwich won a European trophy?!
5. 1981 Ricky Villa's goal against City. Just sensational

That's pretty incredible getting those games at that age. We were from Kent so although me and my brother were Spurs fans, we had to put up with watching Gillingham as it was cheaper and closer. My dad must be a proper tight arrrrrse.
First game I saw at WHL was Spurs v Luton. An absolute nothing game against relegation fodder but for me at about 11 years old, it was brilliant. We went 0-1 down and then the floodlights failed. As soon as they came back on we were a changed team. Ran out 4-1 winners courtesy of 2 Lineker goals and a brace from some fella called Scott Houghton, who was barely seen ever again.

1) October 11th 1958 my very first professional match. Spurs beat Everton 10-4. Thats when I became a supporter.
2)1961 FA Cup Final……..to complete the first modern day Double. Fantastic team and a dream to watch.
3)1963 European Cup Winners Cup Spurs beat Atletico Madrid 5-1 to become first British team to win a major European trophy in the Feyenoord Stadium in Rotterdam. Jimmy Greaves scored twice.
4) 1981 FA Cup Final Replay Spurs v Man City and the memorable Ricky Villa goal. One of the all time great cup final goals.
5) 1965 Spurs 5 Man Utd 1….brilliant football on a heavy pitch with a great result made even more memorable by Jimmy Greaves beating 5 United players and the goalkeeper! Amazingly in the return fixture two months later it was again 5-1 but United’s favour this time.
I could continue right up to today, but those fixtures were ones I will always remember and cherish. COYS

I've got older brothers, one not interested in football and the other was a Spurs fan so I did what all younger brothers do and copied. He once said to me "why don't you support Arsenal then we can have a rivalry?" but by then it just didn't feel right as I was already under the spell of Hoddle, Waddle and then Gazza and Lineker. In fact the 1990 WC solidified it. Imagine if I'd switched though. It makes me feel dirty just thinking about it.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
A quick point about the 1901 final…….it is the first and only time a NON LEAGUE Club has won the FA Cup since the Football League was formed in 1888.
1. 84 UEFA cup to give us a 3-1 score line on Euro trophies compared to the Woolwich
2. Paul Stewart’s equaliser in 91 - Gazza going off injured, Pearce scoring the free kick, Lineker missing the penalty - it felt like everything was going against us that day then Stewart scored and good old Des Walker notched the winner in extra time
3. 2008 - Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate masterclass. Berbatov with ice in his veins from the spot
4. 1999 - Edinburgh getting sent off, Cottee missing an open goal. Nielsen with the header.
5. Inter Milan at home under Redknapp - the atmosphere was incredible, Bale put in the best performance I think I have ever seen and we rendered the defending European champions to a terrified mess - Maicons career ended that night
Sorry Fridgeboy, winning trophies beats the CL moments. Not sure why your so surprised. Look at all the old posters moments on here as proof. All trophy wins. Ask any lower league fan lucky to see their club win a play off trophy. Any money that’s their greatest moment. The Moura moment was unreal. Doesn’t beat that feeling seeing us lift a trophy beating Chelsea no chance.

I fear this thread is gonna make me feel old..... Where the F is Sandy when you need him ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You sound like you might be a similar age to me but we couldn't get to games when I was a kid as we weren't from London. I'm guessing you're fractionally older, maybe 45ish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah Im 45, I was only 7 when my day took me to the UEFA Cup Final, & 10 at the FA Cup final. Being the only & youngest son (3 sisters) and born/grew up in North London before moving to the home counties & then on to the US... I was born into it, 3rd generation .... Old man couldn't wait to take me
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's pretty incredible getting those games at that age.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ive been blaming my old man ever since......I could have grown up to be normal !!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've got older brothers, one not interested in football and the other was a Spurs fan so I did what all younger brothers do and copied.

Got to be the 1901 FA cup final - wonderful day for me, I had just celebrated my 40th birthday and Spurs winning the cup was the cherry on top
