We can't afford to buy a world class CF unless we get new owners. Our only option just now is to use whoever we can that we currently have. Not Weghorst as he is rubbish. Is Martial really our only other striking option? Surely we have a youngster or something?

Our current owners spend between 150m and 250m a season. How can we not afford a striker?
They didn't spend in January as we'd already spent a fortune in the summer and they are selling up.
And I hate them more than anyone but it's simply not true we haven't spent money.
We are not City. We don't just spend £100m on one player when we want. There are no world class strikers available anyway. We need to be looking from within. We have a world class youth system. There must be someone coming through or homegrown that we can bring in.

We spent 85m on a winger who hasn't been amazing the year after we spent 75m on another who again hasn't been great.
If we finish top 4 we could easily secure a £100m striker this summer under the Glazers if we wanted to. They don't though. They want to cash in.

We didn't need wingers. That's the thing. There are loads of wingers around so it was an easy way of keeping the fans happy when there were no strikers around. If we wanted a striker that is good enough, it would be £200m and there are only a couple available. We need to be looking at who we have in the squad and who we can bring back in. Maybe from loan?

I thought a couple of years ago we had some very promising forwards coming through? What happened to them and why are we not playing them now?
If we want Rashford to become our CF we can't go and spend £125m on a CF.

I think we can afford a top CF come the Summer, but do we really need to buy one of CF is maturing into a CF?
Look at all the headers he has scored all of a sudden this season.

What do you suggest? Can't just magic strikers of the desired standard out of no where for free?
We need someone young, but also proven at this level, proven he can score goals in the PL and Europe, has to love the club and have United in his DNA. Not someone just in it for the money. They can join Chelsea. Surely we are capable of producing a player like that ourselves? Or are we that badly run?

Here
Just ignore him, he is just trying to wind you up. The majority are here to talk about football. So what do you suggest? You have asked a few questions but haven't offered a solution. If we can't buy a centre forward but don't want to play Rashford at CF, what do we do??
Personally, I'd look within the club for a solution. Someone young, loves the club, loves scoring goals and has something to prove, and wouldn't mind being gradually involved within the senior squad.
Not sure it would be a popular choice with some though.
Are they out on loan? Why are we not playing him now if he's the right fit for us? Why not a popular choice? Can you please be more clear?
"Personally, I'd look within the club for a solution. Someone young, loves the club, loves beating women, loves scoring goals and has something to prove, and wouldn't mind being gradually involved within the senior squad."
I see where this is going. Not getting dragged into it.

It's not a bad shout, but I just don't think Charlie McNeill is ready yet.
We WILL get a new striker in the summer - even if Glazers are still around. I have no doubt about that. We only just got rid of CR7. Having one month to secure a long-term replacement wasn't viable. So we went with Weggy as a stop-gap cover for Martial. Rashford switching to CF is another option (especially if we can put an improving Sancho on the left). Obviously, Martial's lack of availability has exposed a weakness here but I'd rather wait for a solid long term replacement to come in, in the summer than pay over the odds for someone who might not cut it. We'll get top 4 this season, regardless.
