We need someone young, but also proven at this level, proven he can score goals in the PL and Europe, has to love the club and have United in his DNA. Not someone just in it for the money. They can join Chelsea. Surely we are capable of producing a player like that ourselves? Or are we that badly run?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We should be looking at players who are the best in the world at the moment.
Salah, cackpo and spoonez are my options, they scored and assisted yesterday and are candidates at the moment.

He’s been in great form, but given his history I wouldn’t rely on him proving to be the solution. It would be a gamble.
To answer the OP, I'd have a look at Rashford as CF over the remainder of the season and see how he gets on. Martial is never available and Weghorst, despite doing ok in my opinion, isn't good enough long term. We have got good options on the left, so I'd be happy to move Rashford inside and give that a try - see how he gets on. If it doesn't work out then put him back on the left and see about signing a CF in the summer.

Why? He is scoring goals from CF positions. Quite often late in games when he has been moved to CF. He is scoring tap ins, headers, left foot, right foot. And we have good options on the left side. Why wouldn't you give him a run as CF to see if he can make the step up and solve a huge problem and potentially save us £100m+?
It doesn't make any sense to me. We are in a decent position in the league in terms of finishing in the top 4. Now is the perfect time to trial him there and see if he can do it long term. If he can't then we move him back for the remainder of the season and buy a CF in the summer.

Well we're going to need 2 CFs in the summer as Martial isn't reliable enough to be a back up, and Weghorst isn't doing enough at the moment to justify a permanent move.
With that in mind we still definitely need a first choice CF but I'd be quite happy to see Rashford deputising when needed whilst remaining first choice on the left, knowing we have Garnacho or Sancho to come in there when needed. I suspect Martial will still be around too as we're going to struggle to find any takers - so we might get 15 odd games out of him too I guess.

Do you think bringing in another striker, one if our young players maybe, would upset the dynamic? If it's not broke, don't fix it?

No
