Well, what would you call it? The club have confirmed they are carrying out a process before acting. Are they going to ask him his version of events and try to determine the truth of what has happened? Yes.
It is an internal investigation to clarify what has happened before making a decision on appropriate action.
But please do enlighten us all with the word that you think best describes the ongoing events within the club regarding this matter.
They will already know what happened, why, and the reason for charges being dropped.
The ongoing process is more to do with getting assurances this wont happen again, and talking with the key stakeholders (fans, squad, manager, sponsors) what their opinions are re him being reinstated.

And yet we are hearing that he is annoyed at the lack of support and contact he had from United throughout. There isn't a single report or rumour that United are already aware of what has happened. Yes you did. I said that unless there was some evidence the completely exonerated Mason, that he likely wouldn't play for United again due to impact on sponsors. You said that the club wouldn't care about that.
