Front-row Ferrari start will be as good as it gets for them. Reverse fortune in the race, where they have to look after the tyres over a longer distance (might even be passed by Max into turn 1 who will have a huge slipstream or if they are squabbling for places instead of blocking him).

Ferrari race simulation pace didn't look at all strong in practice sessions. They may as well split strategy, put Charl on the slightly optimal strategy....see where that takes them.

That Mercedes is looking half decent now. Have to remember it’s been a bit of a Frankenstein car throughout the season. Time in the offseason to finesse the upgrades and we may (hopefully) see another challenger for race wins next year

Max definitely had pace in hand on fresher hard tyres than anyone else, no need to risk it.
Lewis took the fastest lap at the end, so was obviously managing the pace as well.

Really looking forward to the sprint at Interlagos.

Scrap the gimmicky sprint format, F1 qualifying and race weekend format was fine without it.
Bring back iconic exciting tracks like Portimao, Sepang, Istanbul. Remove Abu Dhabi and two others.

Oh and revive the South African track, while they are at it.

Another race, another sprint, another action packed weekend.

Only because it got red flagged. He'll be back to shoving teammates tomorrow.

Stroll was a small margin ahead of Alonso in Q1 without red flag, didn't expect Stroll to carry pace through to Q3 and he was behind Alonso on the final lap in Q3, worse conditions.
Solid effort, still don't think Stroll should be in the sport as there are more talented drivers about but he outqualified Alonso on merit this time.

Two place grid penalties for George, Ocon and Gasly, impeding other drivers in the pitlane.
They start the race on Sunday in 8th, 14th and 15th.
