That was a great race to be fair !

What's people's views on the Vegas race generally?
I'm kinda hoping it fails, absolutely hate the direction these US races are taking the sport. Obviously money is a massive factor but so much of the racing weekends/weeks have become embarrassing nonsense with Vegas looking like the peak of that.
If we get a great race and the track is a major reason for that then I guess everything we be forgiven but so far it obviously looks a bit of a farce.
I know others have said this already but the half a billion surely could've been spent improving some existing courses so the racing itself can be the "star of the show".
You can tell sky and the rest of the media are desperate to make out that thr Las Vegas GP. That interview with Vasseur was pretty awkward to say the least
*Desperate to make out that the Las Vegas GP is perfect
I think at least it’s gonna be better than Miami…
Had all that extra stuff, and arrogant stars walking the grid disrespecting Martin Brundle..
But more importantly, the track is pretty crap, and does not make for a good race.
Vegas looks great under the lights…but

Yeah I've been hoping for an Indy 2005 level of farce. We're doing well so far! Thankfully Sainz avoided the broken back, unlike Ralf Schumacher.
Kicking fans out who had waited hours to see some sort of action is continuing the farce.

FP2 was actually quite promising race wise, hopefully the grid will be interesting once qualifying finishes and the race has a decent amount of action.
Don't think we'll see another 2005 level farce for a long time but the start of this was such a mess with the fans being sent home after seeing about 5 minutes of driving.
Worst of all though, a penalty for Carlos Sainz due to a problem caused by a faulty track, classic Ferrari
Decent looking grid, could be an interesting race
Sky absolutely ruining Martin Brundle / Brundle truly embarrassing himself desperately walking around the grid (worst I've seen) for an awkward interview. Please stop it
I need to buy a couple of mini violins 🎻 for Crofty and Brundle. Moaning about MAXs penalty is not sufficient.
Still moaning about it 8 laps later
the track looks like an upside down pig!

Apart from the icy track and awful session times, a fairly good weekend tbf.
Driving them all the way to the Bellagio to give an interview in front of a fake F1 car and then take them back for the podium was weird.
