If we want a grown up conversation about this takeover we need to dispell any notion that some might have if Qatar, or any other foreign nationals, corporates or State Governments did acquire Man United, then they would operate the business in Mancheter UK, under their own (Qatar) employment and construction laws rules and regulations and ignore any UK leglislation in these sectors.

I have to say that I have never seen or heard a single person suggest that they would be able to get away with their construction/employment practices over here. You have to be completely detached from everyday life to believe that. Even my wife, who works in hair and beauty, knows that the construction H&S standards are ridiculously high.

I’ve never said they would be able to do it in the uk, it just won’t happen. It does not excuse them from what they did do in building wc stadiums though. I don’t want them anywhere near Utd, one of the reasons being that, also becoming a state owned plaything.
