I remember a few years back Jinky was compared to Atheist as being the Celtic version of the Rangers Atheist

Oh how we laughed. Thankfully ath was a genuine person so Super Ally you can stick the trainers back in the cupboard.

Call Sign kindly dm'd me on Twitter to let me know the sad news about Atheist. I wanted to pay my respects on here. I only met him in person once (that night at the Admiral - December 2014) but he always came across as a really good guy. May he rest in peace. Hope everyone else is doing well.

I'm saddened by this news.
Ath was a good man. I already missed him.

My condolences not just to his family, but to all of you folk here on the Scottish boards. You might only have met the once, but you come across as a very decent and tight-knit group, and I imagine you must be feeling gutted after so many years in Ath's good (online) company.

Silver thanks for doing this and updating us. I feel really gutted by this, I have known Ath through this site since joining it and he came across as an absolute gentleman. It's a mark of the man that for those of us who never had the opportunity to meet him in person are genuinely saddened by this news. RIP Ath you will be sadly missed 😞

Really sad to read this. Can't add more than has already been said. Always came across as a really nice guy. Conversations on here with him were reasonable and balanced. Could take a joke too. Will be missed. RIP Ath

Grim, mate. Sometimes ponder if it is better to go suddenly or have some time to say stuff you wished you'd said before, make some arrangements or do something you'd wished you'd done.

Yeah Silv, I dunno. Not sure I would handle knowing I am going all too well. That said perhaps you eventually find some peace with it and go out the right way.
