My condolences not just to his family, but to all of you folk here on the Scottish boards. You might only have met the once, but you come across as a very decent and tight-knit group, and I imagine you must be feeling gutted after so many years in Ath's good (online) company.

Aw man gutted. He was one of my favourite posters. I made a special effort not to be a priiiiick in his presence, which is difficult for me, so that is testament to the level of respect he commanded on here.

I'm 90 something percent sure I never actually met him but he was a terrific poster and I'm sure an even better guy in the flesh. He will be missed.

We are a diverse bunch brought together by a love of football.

Think of all the relationships created by this forum, either in person or just on the forum. Friendships made that may never have crossed paths. Many of us have even become good friends with relatives and friends of other posters.

Anyone looking from the outside in may be surprised at the sadness around another posters death but its testament to the community created by JA606.

I know we see each other occasionally at CP but don't become a stranger to the other good guys on here.

Shocked and saddened to read this. Great work Silver, tough message to have to send out, but much appreciated.

I don't come on this very often, but he was one of the posters I always saw on here and like everyone has said, always contributed posiitively, nice guy.

It's a great community and banter on here, that he contributed a lot to making it what it is. He will be sadly missed.
