"They didn't win the game, we lost it" is a pretty basic football cliché dragged out when a team's shaat the bed like Rangers did on Saturday. You can perceive it as some attempted dig at Celtic if you want but his words are literally just acknowledging that his team were at fault. Which they were. This wasn't a case of an irresistible Celtic team rolling Rangers over, it was a competitive game which Rangers threw away any shot at with Sunday league defending, hence it being, in cliché terms, more of a case of Rangers losing it than Celtic winning it.
It's pretty basic use of the English language. So basic in fact that even a preening footballer can wrap his head around it. I'm sure you can all get there too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bad players make mistakes when put under pressure by good player.
Branding your team mates as losers when you've been chasing shadows yourself is unlikely to help with integration.

He was making the point that the Rangers players threw away the game by gifting Celtic two goals. A pretty accurate point and good to see a player (albeit would have been better had it been Souttar or Davies) acknowledging that it was individual errors in big moments that lost the game. You can read it as some sort of oblique dig at Celtic if you like but it's pretty clearly a criticism aimed at his own teammates.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What on earth is accurate about “Celtic didn’t win the game” for goodness sake? That was his headline grabber.
A game in which is has to be said he had practically zero influence in? I don’t recall him making any decent runs, challenges, passes or tackles. He was effectively a waste of a jersey.
It’s very early days but from what I’ve seen (and I watch most Rangers games to a point), he’s yet to show anything better than being a slight improvement on the dross that preceded him.
He is well known for his self promotion ant previous clubs and this is him simply being a daft wee attention seeker trying to crave popularity with the support.
Let him pull you into that if you want. It’s self promotion and nothing else.

There’s another thing. Why is it that when someone from Rangers comes out with ridiculous soy bites and it’s picked up on, is it automatically read that it’s getting under our skin? Was the same with Beale when he made the “lucky” comment.
We kind of know what he was getting at, but surely to God a manager at an institutional club like Rangers should be able to read the room and think through the ramifications of making these comments and exposing himself himself and his employers to look stupid?
Just don’t say it is all. He and that idiot Cantwell would have had far more respect from everyone in the game by just saying “close game that could have swung either way. Individual errors and a contentious decision cost us today and we will work on improving for the semi final”. Or something like that.
Right now, they’re coming across as bitter w&n4ers with no real answers. All to appease to the clown element of their support. Twice Rangers have played us when we’ve been poor and they still can’t get a win. That says more than anything right now.
In so saying, I think they have a great chance in the semi final. That disgrace of a pitch is a leveller.
soy bites?
Sound bites even

Hard to imagine Ange putting up with that. I’m sure he has his own thoughts but keeps them well in-house. He’s a big gentleman. Really, even the bears should be grateful Scottish football has him for a while.

That's a shame, I used to really like the guy. Maybe he's went a bit soft in the head.

Cantwell's attempt has clearly worked on the bears. Even WPP is defending it.
WPP probably also thinks Tav is correct when he said (for the 5th time) we'll see the real Rangers in the semi
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately shiiting the bed when it matters seems to be the real Rangers at the moment.
Cantwell's innocuous comment really managed to get under the skin of you lot it seems, take a deep breath and just try to enjoy another successful season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There’s another thing.

The skinny assed pr!k threw his 2 teammates under the bus though. He could have apologized for playing schit.

He kind of looks like some B list boy band guitarist who has been asked to play in a charity game.
