Just read that there were three arrests yesterday for homophobic chants by wolves fans towards Chelsea fans. There was an announcement over the pa but as usual in the North bank couldn't make out one word of it. Shouldn't be surprised I suppose, you like to think there's been some progress in routing out that kind of nonsense but clearly there's enough simple minded individuals about to jump on that bandwagon. There really is no need or place for it.

Fabio scored again yesterday for PSV.

Where was Merlin Mick sacked from this time? Does Butey know?

Left Blackpool by mutual consent. I think he probably knows his time is up as a manager now.

Doesn’t detract from the great things he achieved during his career including his time at Wolves.

For real?

Surprises me.

Nuno numero uno for me and then Jones with Mick and Jackett close for 3rd.

Nuno
Mick
Jones

In that order for me.

The promotion season with Mick was a lot of fun.

Presumably Tino”s “pound for pound” caveat was a reference to money spent, if so it’s different not to agree with his assessment.

Nuno achieved great things, but let’s not pretend that the club had not moved onto a whole new financial position at that point.

Loved Nuno, but it's Mick for me.

Yeah it's a bit sad to see Mick's career end this way. Have to hand it to Warnock and Hodgson, they seem to come back strong after a break but that was maybe one job too far for Mick and Terry.

Yeah cinci for real

Look at the 5hitshow mick inherited and look where he took us, compared to Nuno who was given a prem ready side whilst in the championship

Both men at times exceeded expectations and alas bothen risked tarnishing their memories by staying too long

Graham Turner for me. He was appointed with the club almost in liquidation, yet steered us back to the second tier. All with very little money. All the others have had money to spend, even McCarthy.

Merlin was a good manager in the lower leagues, but his tactics and know how culminated in our demise in the top flight. it's interesting to note, that he never got another job in the Premier League, highlighting his limited ability.

You thought he would lead us into Europe

How wrong can one person be?

To be fair Turner deserves huge credit in the overall scheme of things, more so than McCarthy. Our club was on its knees under Turner. Jackett also deserves huge credit.

Even on our knees we were head and shoulders above the other clubs in the fourth tier. Turner got us back to the level we are expected to be at, Mick and Nuno took us beyond that level (one on a shoestring budget with free transfers and loans, the other with a multi million pound squad of Prem ready players)

Stuart Attwell, who did not react to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's tackle on Kaoru Mitoma inside the Spurs' box, will be the VAR official for Wolves' home game with Brentford on Saturday.

Do they save them up for our matches?

posted on 11/4/23

Problem is, most of them are pretty useless and go into games with an agenda to keep on the right side as they are afraid of the adverse publicity if they upset the ‘big teams’.

The period under Turner was a fantastic one for the club and were the years that got me hooked in to going to games on a regular basis. Its not really true though to say that the club were "almost in liquidation" because they had just been saved from that with the Asda/Gallaghers/Council deal which brought some stability back to the club. Equally not accurate to state that we were head and shoulders above other clubs in Div 4, we weren't even head and shoulders above Northern Premier league Chorley when Turner took over.

Boubacar Traore got 45 minutes for the U21s last night at Kiddy as they battered Everton 5-0. Excellent first half hat trick for Owen Farmer.
