I'm not a specialist (in case that needed clarifying haha) but Mental Illness = a condition which causes serious disorder in a persons behaviour or thinking. So again how can we say that gender issues - dysphoria or incongruence, feel free to expand on the difference between the two - are not exactly that, a disorder in a persons thinking? We're talking about people that are uncomfortable in the bodies they were born with, right?

They are mental health issues, they have been recategorised though to remove the MH stigma.

As long as they get the help they need require it doesn’t matter if it’s classed as sexual or mental health.
