With the advent of technology and other modes of transportation these train strikes mean nothing....

The next strikes will coincide with the Test Matches at Old Trafford.

Yeah, make the people that rely on you find different options that may work out better and then wonder why you have been made redundant because income has dropped dramatically.
I've no sympathy for them. They get paid damned good money for sitting on their derrieres for a few hours a day holding a handle, or do they even have to do that nowadays? So precious!
They are massively inconveniencing millions of decent hard-working people.
Millions of others have to work as many hours a week as they can or have multiple jobs to make ends meet.
ASLEF PARASITES!
I care as it disrupts my life. I do wonder how much longer we will require human workers on the scale that we currently do to operate mass transit.
I believe the DLR is already operated without drivers.
Guessing you know f all about the ins and outs of the strike, it’s not just about what has been offered
Do your homework before you start spouting off

Correct but each train has a guard. But in the 8 years I used the DLR there was one strike.

I believe it’s more to do with working conditions.
However they’ve been offered a more than fair pay rise considering the state of the country and I’d tell em to go shove it.
Train drivers are on mental money tbf and they get concessions few other similar jobs would offer. Can't expect pay rises in keeping with inflation if we ever want to get inflation down.
Public support will drop with every strike. Most unions have zero self awareness. My wife had a call from UNITE saying they were disappointed shed cancelled her membership, then she explained she had been made redundant, and they did feck all to stop it cos they were cosy with he company (as it bought in memmberships).
They were genuinely in total disbelief that an unemployed person would want to cancel their union membership 😂
Solidarity with the PAYE workers!
Too many boss-lick mice out there whining about inconvenience whilst the workers fight (not getting paid on strike days) for their and their passenger rights.
I'm self-employed, most of my customers arrive by train so that's me feked for 3 days.
