And I criticised Celtic at the time for not being the bigger man/club and missing the opportunity to show up Rangers
----------------------------------------------------------------------
so as things stand both clubs are bas as each other?
As I said I dont care anymore, we can forget about "selling our game with the spectacle" our game has already been sold..... 6 year deal for absolute pennies doesnt matter if we welcome 10,000 fans to out stadium and give you the red carpet ..... our game has been sold for the next.
that shocking deal will damage both clubs more than any fan allocation will
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Would you and your club's fans be happy for Doncaster to bring a vote about enforcing Euro allocations?
Would you and your club's fans be happy if Sky said you know what, fck it, the four games aint a spectacle any more?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sky give about as much of a fuq as I do about keeping up with the kardashians.

Id be quite for happy for that allocation to be euro allocations if its the same for all clubs , yeah , why not.
I hate the 4 games a season effort. Id rather expand the league but wouldnt make that choice for personal reasons only if it could enhance our game.
Id love it for Sky to pull out the deal so we can go about getting a better one. the deal with Sky is a fecking disgrace. a 6 year deal that is already poor on the day you sign it never mind what we will be comparing in 6 year time to our peers.

No idea where this spectacle nonsense comes from. The atmosphere is 10x better and more appealing with a sea of blue than it ever was before.
If Celtic don't want to take up their allocation there will be no shortage of fans who will so no loss to us either way.

It comes from the far higher significant number of supporters who don’t or can’t get to these games.
Also to our sponsors, but hey; wtf eh?
Couldn't care less about sponsors tbh, that's for other people to worry about. I only care about going to enjoy the game.

You didn't answer for your fundamentalist section but I think I know the answer.
I'd be happy with Euro too. It is at least a reference point that holds some notional justification. However, Doncaster has been weakened and other clubs have jumped on the maximising revenue bandwagon so not sure it would get through. Rangers would have to vote against, right?
Enlarging the league is a non-starter unless you want it even more marginalised. I can see the point of you lot wanting less games against us right enough.
So, no Sky. TNT, early days but it remains to be seen where Warner takes them? Given BT had a share of Scottish football and let it lapse that is their mindset? Probably gearing up to show Saudi league?

Going it alone - well we tried before and Sky throttled it and have the power to do so again...?

It is incredible. Only fair that the bears organise a big 'Fvck Sky, Fvck all our sponsors' TIFO and see how it goes.
I am living through it 11 out of the last 12 titles , 4 trebles, countless drubbings am I wrong
It's not fk anyone. I'm a football fan, I get a buzz out of watching football. And by the way if we want to go in to sponsors I probably don't need to remind you that the league sponsor can't even advertise at Ibrox. So aim your concerns about sponsors to other people.

Theres no doubt its gone downhill as a spectacle .
Being at the games its not the same when there isnt a bigger away support than normal when rangers visit ...that was always atmospheric , and made the game different before we even kicked off . Its kinda sad looking at it now

I’m aiming it at your club. You try that approach with the powers that be at Ibrox and tell them that tv money and other sponsors are not vital and that the fans like you should be listened to
In fact, try and get one on the board or maybe even help put together a hugely influential fan club that can influence the board of Rangers.
Oh wait. You’ve tried that.
What an amazing and wholly inaccurate view of how important these sponsorship deals matter to all our clubs.
Cinch and Sky to name but 2. Yes, Rangers still receive and accept Cinch payments. Maybe they should refuse to take them eh?

You're getting a bit excited. The club might have their own view on it and I haven't said anything about the importance of sponsors other than its not my concern.
My concern is heading to Ibrox to watch a football game and hopefully enjoying it. My personal experience hasn't been diminished by the change in allocation, in fact it has been enhanced.
Whilst sponsorship might take a hit (although have they? I haven't become aware of any deals changing on the OF allocation basis) the club have benefitted commercially in other ways, which was the point of the change in the first place. Celtic fans still peddle this myth it was about taking the huff because they were winning games when it was a purely commercial decision.

The allocation change affected every club and was not really any different to what other clubs had been doing to the OF already. Only one set of supporters with a tendency for paranoia immediately made it all about them.
