I would give Greenwood a chance; the courts have said he's not a rapist. That's that.

Or he found a way to buy himself out of the charges, thereby shutting the case down, which seems the most likely thing to have happened imo. We’ll never know

However, I'm not going to let one foolish person stop my 40 year association with the club either. I'd be disappointed but I'd still support the club.

Pretty much this
City had one of the most vile paedos working at their club for years and you wouldn’t expect their 5 fans to stop supporting them after the fact
Although I also note City got out of that one due to it being time barred too
They’ve found the ultimate legal loophole just don’t respond till one day after crimes can’t be charged
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

Ok, we’ve been down this before rdd, the additional evidence will have been the victim having a change of heart and therefore dropping any evidence they had. Now why the victim had a change of heart is anyone’s business, most likely imo is Elvis’s rumor that he bought his way to that state. It’s what I thought he’d do on day 1.
Now let’s not go over this for a 100th time.

Logic, timing and common sense.
What is the logic?
Timing - you have no way of knowing when the withdrawal and the further info came to light, or how long after these events, the announcement to withdraw was made.
Common sense - grasping here mate.
We’ve just spent £70m on a striker who due to a medical issue is unlikely to be able to play 2 games a week. All being said, bringing Greenwood back wouldn’t be the worst decision the club has made this summer.

How is that the most likely thing?
There was additional evidence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, we’ve been down this before rdd, the additional evidence will have been the victim having a change of heart and therefore dropping any evidence they had. Now why the victim had a change of heart is anyone’s business, most likely imo is Elvis’s rumor that he bought his way to that state. It’s what I thought he’d do on day 1.
Now let’s not go over this for a 100th time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Witnesses withdrew AND further information came to light.
2 separate things.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The same thing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The language points to 2 things.
What do you have to support that it is the same thing ?

I would give Greenwood a chance; the courts have said he's not a rapist. That's that.

Or he found a way to buy himself out of the charges, thereby shutting the case down, which seems the most likely thing to have happened imo. We’ll never know
