I'd say there is a danger here of trivialising domestic abuse cases.

It's obviously going to be very hard to convict if the main witness/victim withdraws her statement/complaint.

Domestic abuse is a complex matter. It doesn't necessarily end when people get back together. There's plenty of examples where people keep going back yo their abusive partner because they're scared of what will happen if they actually leave.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think talking about it only helps to highlight the topic.

In this case, it wasn’t just a failure to convict. They didn’t think it was worthy of a trial.

Yes. Many stay in abusive relationships. That doesn’t mean this is the case here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

*Once the victim withdrew her co-operation.

Talking about it does help but no if the topic is making excuses for the abuser or constantly saying they deserve a second chance
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Alleged victim.

And we don't know he was an abuser.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Exactly my point

Witness withdrew.
Evidence meant conviction impossible.
Engaged and expecting a child together.

If the legs don’t get gape it can’t be rape.

If the legs ain't oop you can't stick it in the poop.

To explain to RDD, imagine you are doing a poo, but the poo comes back out of the toilet and up into your bum unexpectedly, when you don't want it to.

Rdd is too wise for that. He’s already taken the poo out and smeared on his face and walls.

One young players horrendous actions certainly won't be lessening my love for a club I've supported for over 45 years.

I won’t. I hope he gets binned. And I very much doubt Irish will be cheering him unless he’s thrown in quicksand
