Expecting Gnonto to start up front to be honest. Lets just suppose the conversation leading up to Wednedsday went something like, "boss, with all the talk about me moving to Everton my head is not in the right place for me to start, I need time off to sort my thoughts out", that would make sense and fit in with the "not true" post.

If we paid £3.5m for a 5 year contract, that’s only £700k pa spread over that period. We can afford to put him in the reserves for that 5 years. It’s not that we’d be missing out on a big fee cos Fc Zurich have an “extraordinarily high” sell on % clause. So if we got £15m if we sold him, we’d have to give them say 40%, then take off the £3.5m we paid, we’d be left with a sum that ain’t worth bothering about.
