Doing what he did? He was asked a question and answered it honestly. And all he said was the player hadnt performed in training. Nothing scandalous or uncalled for. If that’s all it took for Sancho, who hasn’t had a single stand out performance in all his time at United, to throw the toys out then it says all we need to know about the player.

Whilst I agree with you on the in house bit I kind of get why ETH did this. He went out of his way last season to give Sancho a break to sort himself out and Sancho has decided to put in lack luster training performance.
Maybe a public kick up his ar$e will work.

My only issue with this, VC, is the precise reason i said the player profile.
Although he did not specially say mental health issues, ETH made it clear Sancho was not right physically and I would argue more so mentally, thus he sent him away.
Bed him back in to assist that he get over his struggled. I remember him leaving social media when he was dropped from England, it is clear this player is fragile.
To have all this information and even part of the journey in helping him to get over his mental blocks, I don't see why anyone is surprised about the way Sancho reacted to this. The manager knows more than all he is mentally weak/ struggling, which makes the public flogging even the more bizarre for me

Can’t overly disagree with that, to be fair
Pundits are no better then "fans", views are driven by agenda depending on whether they are on payroll in some capacity at the club.
Eth has come out and said he's going to sort out the culture of the club, he can only do this by putting together a group of players with the right character that matches the values of the club or organization. He can only do that for the team, others have to sort the club out, starting from the top. The mess the Glazers have created will take decades to resolve, that's if we get good owners with focus on football to start with.
My only worry is Eth will feel extreme pressure when results don't go his way. I've yet to see the Eth possession based, controlled, dominant football. That may be down to lack of players in his mould. We also thought Eth could make do with what he has, coach them to a better standard, I'm not sure about that either. But many Dutch commentators also said Eth will frustrate, the performances won't be consistent at first but eventually it will click, that's what happened at Ajax. Main difference between Ajax and Utd is he had the structure and the right people above (Van Der Sar) who gave him the support and time needed. Utd are a different beast though.

We've already spent huge amounts under Eth and it still feels like we need to spent double the amount. The defence needs a complete rebuild and with Sancho and Antony AWOL we are short on quality wide players, we also need additional firepower, Hojlund has potential but does he guarantee goals? No. Lack of goals puts unnecessary pressure on on team that's loose in possession and a midfield that every team enjoys playing against. It's a counter attacking that performed better under Ole.
My biggest gripe with ETH so far is Antony. Okay the manager doesn't dictate the fee we paid but he was very keen to get him here regardless and he's not shown anything like the justification for it thus far.
And in ETH's defence he's had so much negative stuff to deal with already, most of which aren't on the field related either. I feel for him, I really do. He's had a raw deal really in comparison to previous managers in terms of scandals and distractions.

In a weak league Antony was a stand out player. Not many from the Dutch league transfer that form over to the EPL, not many record signings for Utd have worked out well either! What annoys me the most about Antony is how one dimensional he is, can't even beat a player but has very good work rate. So, is he a FB or a wide player? 😂

We are so profligate with money, may be better off if we changed our model.
If our DOF was best in class no way in a million years we buy the likes of Antony or even Sancho!
So many issues, where do we start, mate?! 😔
Remember when some fans said even if Ole doesn't win anything he will have at least left a great squad to build on and that maybe he could be the DoF for the club.

Likes of City have proved the blueprint of the "football club" is set by the DoF and the manager fits into to that template. All the players city have are within the template of the "club", they are guardiola players first and foremost but Guardiola is in the mould of the club!
The overarching structure the owners provide supports the DoF. This is what sets the tone, the culture. Money alone is not enough.
We are light years away.

He effectively got a 3 month holiday last year with full pay so he's a cheeky git for what he's said. And the rumours suggest it's because he has a severe computer game addition as well of all things so I'm sorry I have no sympathy.

Pretty much how I see it too. His defensive work is his best asset and he plays in a front 3.
Very poor signing. Not like us at all. 😂

For a manager brought in to bring style and philosophy, our players still play like we did under Ole.
….
We play nothing like we did under Ole.
