Toney on paper looks a good signing but isn’t he a huge gooner and made noises about playing for them
Can see him going there
Gimenez is doing well but United have taught us recently to tread with caution with Dutch players in that league
Guirassy could be the one and I’m sure I’ve read he has a very reasonable release fee
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I see Gift Orban has fallen off a cliff - 2 goals in 9 games when last season he had 16 goals in 15 games.
Would be tempted to offer United £40m for Sancho and then spend 3 months getting him fit and getting his head right. A big risk but the potential upside is huge - I just think Ange could get the best out of him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not as Gifted as he seemed?

It’s a huge risk but if it pays off you’re getting a potential superstar. The Sancho at Dortmund was class, the bloke at United looks like he won a fan competition - I reckon Ange could straighten him out

He could get into that team if he bothered his arssse instead he acts like a spoilt little snowflake teenager.

He's another complete waste of space, like Ndombele. Spurs wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.
Spurs end to the season looks one of the toughest run ins I've seen.
Wolves losing Neto is huge. He's been on fire and it's kinda gone under the radar how he has the most assists in a very average team.
City is always tough but minus Kdb they are beatable. Without him and Rodri they are def beatable. Kinda luck if u play them with both them out.
Spurs squad being paper thin, and their form depending on maddison and Son doesn't bode well over a season but one game a week spurs should get top 5 and CL unless something crazy happens.
City and Liverpool are the only teams that can go on long runs unbeaten. Arsenal are strong but they genuinely look like a team where the boss has tinkered too much. They signed a goalie they didn't need and Havertz. For Arsenal to fire on properly Arteta needs to swallow his pride and drop him. Can't see it myself.

Our wafer thin squad will be our undoing unless we have a lot of luck with injuries and suspensions, at the moment we are ok but an injury or ban to either of Romero, VDV, Maddison, Vicario, Son and there is a drop off in quality replacing them.
We should be putting things in place right now to bring in another quality CB who has pace, can play a high line and on either side. Along with a goalscorer as we need another finisher to make up for the shortcomings of some of the current lot.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I somewhat agree with this...the squad is thin. For the back four the only decent cover seems to be Emerson.
Midfield we still have Hojbjerg.
Up front we shall see what Johnson can do against Chelsea and I don't discount Gil.
I would not be surprised to see us handed our first loss against City. We've ridden our luck a little in some games recently, I don't know if we can keep doing that. I'll cautiously say I'd expect 9 points from that bunch of fixtures. It could be more but I'm deliberately not going to get my hopes up.
I look at Kane at the weekend and it's such a shame we didn't keep him because we legit would be title contenders with him this time, unlike the false dawns under Jose and Conte. To think he already has 2 league hat-tricks for Bayern and he didn't get one for us since 2017. But he would have done this season.
If Levy doesn't get his wallet out in January then it should be shoved down his throat until he chokes on it.
Seeing as Kulu and Porro were paid for last summer I can see Levy trying the old loan to buy option in January.
Net spend last summer was £115m so there should be funds left over plus any sale from PEH or other players Ange doesn't need like Dier for example.

Scoring hat-tricks in the German league is about as easy as it gets. He is not even top scorer in that pub league this season.
And what a stupid thing to say about Daniel Levy. He got his wallet out in the summer. That is the main reason Spurs are top of the table.
He scored hattricks in the Prem

Not really a good idea as we are already losing Bissouma & Sarr to AFCON, Guirassy will almost certainly be playing for Guinea in this, plus we also lose Son for at least two weeks to the Shia Cup with South Korea🤔

This is funny considering you used to predict him getting a hat-trick each Spurs game against lower half opposition. Do you think the other guy is going to get the Golden Boot over Kane?
Levy has cost us before with inactivity and lack of spending in windows when we have been on the ascendancy. He can't cost us again. He pretty much had to spend in the summer with us doing so poor in the league last season. Let's see what he does when he doesn't have to spend but should if he wants us to achieve something special.
This Santiago Gimenez striker who's tearing up the Eredivise that we are being linked with is giving me shades of Vincent Janssen.

No club is going to let their best players go mid season and there is always the risk that whoever you do bring, upsets what is a settled squad.
I'm pretty confident that if Ange wants someone, the club will do their best to get them but they shouldn't buy just for the sake of it. Has no one learnt from our previous mistakes?

porro looking like a good buy
Porro is decent but I have doubts about him in the long run. I would like to think Royal will be sold next summer and we can bring in someone younger and if possible a right footed Udogie to compete with Porro. I think that position is an area we can improve on.

He's looking good now, but he didn't initially improve the squad. Jan signings need to hit the ground running if they are going to have an impact on that season.

I'd like to think we are already eying up candidates. We could try and name familiar names that we know but they don't have to be. Vicario and VDV weren't very well known to many of us before we made moves for them. There must be others like that under the radar and with recent recruitment being hits we can at least have more faith in our scouting.
I'm trusting in what Ange wants but surely he will want to strengthen the squad if he has designs on challenging for the title. I hope there isn't a feeling at the club that top 4 will do and anything else is a bonus.

This has mainly been Levy's strategy all along and there isn't anything wrong with that. It's just that in the past who we've bought has been poor and they've been bought under managers who didn't really fit.
The good thing is that we have the safety net of having a manager playing the right style of football this time and creating a feel good vibe in the team, that even if we did sign a player or two who didn't work out, we'd probably still get by to a decent level.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sancho.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s a huge risk but if it pays off you’re getting a potential superstar. The Sancho at Dortmund was class, the bloke at United looks like he won a fan competition - I reckon Ange could straighten him out
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bloke's a wrong-un
He could get into that team if he bothered his arssse instead he acts like a spoilt little snowflake teenager.
Total waster on £350k a week, and we aint paying him anything near that!

No club is going to let their best players go mid season and there is always the risk that whoever you do bring, upsets what is a settled squad.
