Hamas have no Control of the West Bank. Israel is a fascist racist entity. In the future it will be seen as how we see Apartheid South Africa and Cattle Salvery in the US and the Holocaust. There is a large dose of racism as the Israeli settlers are of a European background while the brown folks can be killed and dehumanised.

Couple of weeks ago, some on here were appalled at 4 fellas with St George’s flags singing England football songs in the vicinity of a Pro Palestine March.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's a fair point but those people were clearly angling for trouble.
My opinion on this is that having a march for peace on Armistice Day is pretty appropriate seeing as that day celebrates the end of a conflict.
I'm sure those who have fought and lost their lives in conflict would want no conflicts in future. As long as it's respectful then I don't see an issue. What it shouldn't be though is an opportunity to have a pop at the Armed Forces because they don't agree with UK foreign policy. Those who serve don't decide the policy of course.

Bad idea to do it on Armistice Day in my opinion. It'll only serve to turn many against the cause and will likely result in violent clashes. Would have been better to do it on the Friday for me in the lead up to the weekend, not upset people and hopefully gain more support

Popular culture: The Beatles, the stones, the kinks, skiffle music, music Hall. Morriss Dancing, ska music. Acid House.
Clothing & fashion:
Paisley pattern shirts, hound tooth fabric, designer Mary quant, Scottish kilts etc.
Literature:
Shakespeare, Dickens, Tolkien
Events locations: Any of the incredible castles, ancient monuments and hiking visits curated by the national trust. Inc... stonehenge, the lake district and Edinburgh Castle. Glastonbury festival. The Hay Festival.
Cuisine: The Cornish Pasty, Cod and Chips with mushy peas, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. The incredible ales produced by indie breweries across the UK. Scottish whiskey. Pie n Mash.
Sport: Association Football, Cricket, darts etc...
British culture does exist if you want to see it. The monarchy and the British Empire are both complex areas of discussion. I believe the good they have done outweighs the negative. This is all a huge part of Britain's culture. I could go on.
Love and peace ✌
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This sort of makes my point. All the things you've mentioned: food, music (granted, this one is a bit special), fashion, literature, sport, sights & historical monuments... Which countries *don't* have their own takes on this?
French cuisine differs from British cuisine, but it's still cuisine. Russian literature is populated by different authors to British literature, but it's still literature.
You can visit castles across most of Europe, go on beautiful hikes in wonderful national parks, mountains etc... Most countries rally and galvanise around certain sports (particularly football, cricket & rugby).
Like I said... Barnum Statement.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure where this is going? The question was..."what is British Culture?"
I answered it with cultural examples that I think are uniquely British or were invented in Britain and were exported/taken on by other nations. Cricket being a great example.
Of course they have similarities with other cultures but I would say visiting a country pub in England will differ from a bistro/bar experience in France. If you believe that visiting a historic castle in the UK is the same as visiting a castle in Germany or Eastern Europe I disagree. All countries have wonderful individual culture if we care to look. inc the uk.

There is no such thing as British culture.
My Dad and all my uncles fought in the 2nd World War, one was killed. They certainly did not fight so that such a hateful and divisive home secretary as Braverman could be gobbling off every five minutes against migrants, the poor and those that actually want peace not wars.

Well the majority clearly are. Of course you will always get a few in any large gatherings that want to cause trouble. The majority on the marches want the bombing to stop. And what is wrong with that? Unless you think killing thousands of women and children is OK.
I’m not sure there’s really a proper answer to this. British culture is made of so many different sub-cultures, often once that are in direct opposition to each other. And culture is something that is always developing and changing, which is why many things that were traditionally part of British culture have been rejected, especially in a post-Christian society.

Negative birthrates
Governments need populations to at least remain stable for markets to grow, etc
Hence mass immigration of peoples v different culturally to Europeans

That's a red herring. Never said they were and you're avoiding the point.
Where is Hamas in the West Bank? Why are you running away from this point? Why is Israel killing and uprooting people there for years? This all has been happening before and after October 7th.
The fact that you have Israeli MPs (and western Policitians) supporting war crimes and one asking to nuke Gaza shows that it's not just about Hamas. It's about the killing, expulsion and genocide of the Palestinian people (why do you think they want to push them into tents in the Sinai desert?).
Now you can avoid the points made by asking the question you just did but that's just disingenuous.

I’m not sure there’s really a proper answer to this. British culture is made of so many different sub-cultures, often once that are in direct opposition to each other. And culture is something that is always developing and changing, which is why many things that were traditionally part of British culture have been rejected, especially in a post-Christian society.

Bad idea to do it on Armistice Day in my opinion. It'll only serve to turn many against the cause and will likely result in violent clashes. Would have been better to do it on the Friday for me in the lead up to the weekend, not upset people and hopefully gain more support

There you go. Is it really this difficult for some people to understand.

No idea what I would call British Culture.
It is an affront to those who have died giving their life for the freedom we have today.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All the while ridding the rest of the world of their freedom.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Britain have given sovereignty back to more states than anybody in history.
Don’t forget that the British empire never fell, it gave people their country back in exchange for its financial services.

Disintegration of western culture began with the secularisation of society.
The 2 world wars massively responsible for that.
In the vacuum came materialism, the counter culture and globalisation

Native population failing to replace itself due to the pill, females in the workplace, huge increase in the cost of living.
Negative birthrates
Governments need populations to at least remain stable for markets to grow, etc
Hence mass immigration of peoples v different culturally to Europeans
Huge demographic and cultural changes will ensue

Hamas have no Control of the West Bank. Israel is a fascist racist entity. In the future it will be seen as how we see Apartheid South Africa and Cattle Salvery in the US and the Holocaust. There is a large dose of racism as the Israeli settlers are of a European background while the brown folks can be killed and dehumanised.
You've even had an Israeli policitian talk about nuking Gaza.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So are Hamas the good guys, Iran good guys?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's a red herring.
