17.40?
That's rapid

nah that's 3k
I got down to 22.30 for 5k a couple of years ago, but I'd be aiming for 30m now, and that would need a bit more practise.

Got (fatty) liver disease/damage
Had a couple if people tell me its not a big deal so that sounds promising, and potentially a very big relief. Been recommended to have an MRI though. Doctor's going to call me on Wednesday.
GO's not worried about the liver. Says check it again in a couple of months and it might have resolved. If not can look into it further then.
The sonographer shouldn't have called it "liver damage" or "liver disease". GP she was being overly cautious for insurance reasons.
Great news!
5k 34.45
felt good. almost enjoyable. didn't injure myself.
that's my pace from now on! does the job! keeps you fit! and can do it consistently and enjoy it!
Lookin forward to running again can feel my injury getting better now after almost a month

that's a long one for a young man like you.
what did you injure?
Very slight calf strain.
Felt it with about 300m to go yesterday, after coming off a little downhill bit. Stopped very quickly to stretch it (probably cost me sub 30) but still felt the same.
Going to give it 3 days. Hope that'll do it. After that I'll start losing fitness already.
uuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
35.25 and it hurt bad
legs in general, but some damn muscle i didn't even know existed. at the top of the junction between my foot and my leg. both legs. like shin splints. christ.

just bad plantar fasciitis i think
tight groins and flat feet
you reminded me of the phrase 'as happy as a puppy with two peepers', as used in the film City Slickers.
I reckon because I stretched my calves off so deep, it fked up the muscles at the bridge of my foot and leg.
also have got a muscle strain in my stomach.
last time i did that was out for about 6 months.
was from sprinting previously so i've avoided sprinting ever since, but has still happened.
bad news for my running prospects. run while you're young people.
2 brisk c20 minute walks a day for me now.
giving up on the jogging.
just had a cracking walk in beautiful early evening sunshine.
Knocked 2 and a half minutes of my walking time.
26 minutes down to 23.30.
It's a bit hard to measure but seems to be almost exactly 2.5k.
I was blowing after 15 minutes.
Still good fitness, and hopefully won't cause any injuries. Stretch the legs off first.
did 3k in 16.18 today.
happy with that.
almost a full minute off saturday's time which was my first go in a few weeks (and i was quite happy with that effort too!).
