They won’t confirm the real reason - huff/pettyness/giruy as it’s not much of a defence ! For what it’s worth I agree with their stance as it is the only way we might get some semblance of an away support at both grounds with the euro allocation. I know you love yer club dunnit but they have totally Phuked this fixture.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
possibly was our fault to start with but we are trying to rectify by offering you the exact same offer we put forward to every other club in the world and Celtic rejected it despite the SPFL saying you shouldnt.
800 is a pointless gesture though - Celtic know if they just accept that it will become the status quo so the only way to try and better a sheight situation is to do what they are doing and hope the euro becomes the norm rather than 800 - no matter what side we are on - most of us agree the fixture is far better with a bigger support.

why is it pointless its exactly what every other team gets.... is it pointless giving other teams that amount?
So the problem with you Foddy is that the amount isnt enough? thats pretty self entitled.... your getting the same as everyone else gets. The SPFL have said that you must give away fans tickets and that Celtic are being unreasonable here.
Interesting Whodunnit. So you are recommending that ALL SPFL teams are treated equally? Does that extend to; TV Coverage? Sponsorship? Financial Distribution? Voting rights? VAR Decisions? Tax? Etc?
It’s clear that because Rangers have a smaller capacity they are trying to negotiate on their terms. Celtic are presenting a more ambitious proposal based on their capacity. Is that not how negotiating works?

Why is 800 tickets good enough for Hearts, Aberdeen, Hibs etc but not good enough for celtic?

did celtic not say previously that they would also reject the 2500?
I was under the impression that you donht want the 800 tickets as it not enough for you self entitled lot.
the 2500 was a security risk as it would mean that spilling out from the corner into the copeland stand and was rejected by Celtic.
Was this not the case?
I wonder if an expansion of Ibrox goes ahead then the possibility of increasing Celtics allocation would be given greater consideration. But I don't think there has been much movement on renovations
Far from having any knowledge of it but don’t fully understand how the 800 is more of a security risk than 8000. Wasn’t much of a gap between the fans with 8000, could just as easily lob things then.
Appreciate having different gates/turnstiles but no different than for any other away fans
It seems there is a fairly easy argument from Celtic surrounding safety with an 800 allocation. So it's apparent something needs to be done because it's just embarrassing by both clubs imo

its not ..... of course it not... we brought in the nets for the corner that away fans take up.
Its easier to protect and escort 800 fans towards and in , out and away from the stadium than it is 8000.
with the 800 we can separate the fans easily, both in and out the grounds, with the nets now installed the fans wont be hit by objects (nets are only in the corner that the away fans sit in, well all of the other teams in the country sit.

its far easier to cordone and escort 800 fans way from the ground in that corner using the same exits than escorting 8000 fans using multiple exits of a whole stand.

Far from having any knowledge of it but don’t fully understand how the 800 is more of a security risk than 8000. Wasn’t much of a gap between the fans with 8000, could just as easily lob things then.
Appreciate having different gates/turnstiles but no different than for any other away fans

I'd imagine there's safety concerns about fans being in and around the stadium as well

its not ..... of course it not... we brought in the nets for the corner that away fans take up.
