Have Rangers simply tried apologizing for their initial vvankery?
That might work wonders.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
how does an apology make it safer?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Welll, one example would be your apologizing to me would stop me kicking your cvnt.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
then you aint getting and apology.

feel free to head down to Duries gym on Dalmarnock rd on either a Tuesday night or Sat morning to hand out said cvnt kicking

outwith the joke if anyone does fancy the gym/boxing then fire down. Highly recommend it, gyms like this are struggling big time and rely on grants to stay open now and need all the help they can get.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tuesday nights eh? Which gym is this? The one on the same side as the Tesco? Upstairs and back from the road a bit?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yup the one that has loads of wee temp worky like huts its across from the Lidl not Tesco. its not upstairs tho. its on ground level.

If your being genuine let me know and I will say to Archie who runs it to keep an eye open for you.

Walking into a new gym and asking for a spar is such a stupid thing to do. Especially if you go to another gym
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s very much a smol pipi move. Particularly if it’s in a different style.
My experience is very much in BJJ.

Do the nets prevent lighters, golf balls, pound coins, darts and whatever else?

Honestly don't know, just asking.

I think I’m thinking of Scott Harrison’s (I think) gym on Dalmarnock Road. You talking about the top end further up? That Lidl? What’s the name of the gym?

The police and stewards watch the folk doing it. Let's be honest it's normally groups of 10 or so and normally people under 20

I did MT for about a year. Utterly brutal. I can still feel it.

In truth, unless it’s bare-arse boxing, I’m probably going to lose.

What's the point in throwing a lighter and then realising you can't light a cig after the game. And if you are chucking coins then at least throw some £5 ones or collectables. Throwing your bus fare is embarrassing

It sure as fck makes it more difficult!, yes!

This picture of jambos shows the issue.

If the segregation area was the corner itself then the chucking distance becomes bigger and no fans from above prevents that gravity assisted route too.

Maybe the rangers directors could host themselves in the away corner behind the nets with a specially invited audience of away fans with missiles to demonstrate the effectiveness. They could keep any pound coins getting through - seems a fair deal?

I think bjj is far tougher. You really need to commit to make progress. I started doing hot yoga a few months ago because I could no longer do decent head kicks and it's fantastically difficult. Really recommend it

Where on earth is this notion coming from that Celtic have to explain to anyone (let alone Rangers or their fans) as to what their “safety concerns” are that mean they’ll offer no tickets?

Celtic don’t have to explain to anybody at all other than give notice to the authorities of their decision.

Call it pettiness or whatever anyone likes. I’m sure Celtic or their fans don’t give a flying fwck.

Since the last fixture at Ibrox there was this mental idea that because Rangers offered Celtic tickets, then Celtic must or be forced to reciprocate. Or else.

Or else what? The idea was utterly laughable in the first place.

So now we are where we are. With 800 fans it’s pretty pointless and may as well be zero as far as most fans are concerned. And if this latest “move” gets the clubs round the table then that’s all good with me and I’m sure most fans.

If not, then so be it. I suppose that puts the ball equally in both courts to make things change. It certainly won’t be in Celtic’s. They’ve made their position very clear and the idea that they will relent come the next game is a joke. If anything, I expect Rangers will just go toe to toe and not bother offering Celtic any for the next fixture either.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
how on earth can you fix or try to tackle a safety concern if the club dont actually disclose what the concern is!!

Why is that something you would want to keep to yourself anyway especially if it paints your stance in better light?

the safety concern thing was in regards to celtic accepting the number of tickets rangers are offering not the other way about. we have no concerns we want the tickets, we want to give you the tickets for the game in line with the rules for the league. Celtic are the ones knocking back our tickets, as things stand Celtic havent given any reason for not offering Rangers any tickets. And the SPFL have actually stated that you are in the wrong in dong so.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think you’re missing the point that Celtic have no intention of “fixing” any “safety concerns”.

They are simply using what is likely a flimsy reason to make their stance. And the couldn’t give a flying fwck as to what the SPFL, Rangers or indeed anyone else cares or not

Exactly. Fluck the SPFL and fluck Rangers. We’re the daddies now and everyone else knows it. Most of Rangers’ anguish seems to stem from an inability to accept they are no longer in charge in this country in its second enlightenment:

Manflu day 5 - At the point where I'd wear a Rangers top just to be rid of this horrible bastirt infection. It's probably the only thing that'd scare the virus away.

Incredible to think that Rangers instigated this farce in no small amount of glee, only to sit back and watch Celtic drive the final nail into the coffin.

They can pick up the phone to discuss should they wish but in the meantime we stay as we are
