Thing is I’m not sure a line up with 4 at the back is a more positive way of playing than having 3 at the back. It would restrict the ability of Semedo and Ait Nouri to get forward and would only add in Doyle who isn’t a particularly attacking midfield player.
Having said that, with three games in 6 days, there is an argument for some team rotation. But for that to be worthwhile you’d be looking to change more than one player. And I suspect GON may be more tempted to do that in the cup.
Good test for Neto on Sunday. He has proved to be brilliant on the counter attack. But if he got a move to a top 4 team they would regularly be playing against opposition with a packed defence. So he needs to show he can break through these kind of teams. And to make it more challenging there’s no doubt Sheffield will double up against him
Doyle is the player who can break the low block with his passing range, Semedo & Ait-Nouri would still be able to play their normal game, with Mario sitting you still can get your 3 at the back. GON has already said he wants Joao to play further forward as well, it could give the opportunity to overload on both flanks while still controlling the centre & at times would be 3-4-3 but at others it could look like a 4-1-3-2 - he's already shown we can be fluid in formation, it would also help on getting numbers forward if they do double up on Neto
I'm more concerned with having an hour on a train full of Scousers heading to Wembley, may have to break my drinking before the game rule

Agree. I like the fluid formation stuff as well, where they switch between 442 and 343.
Feel the same before this game as I did before Brentford. The sort of game where we are dogsh!t

That’s the spirit Wolfgang. 👍
Adama coming on for Fulham, minus the baby oil.
Fabio comes off the bench and scores for Rangers as they go 5 points clear in Scotland.
Adama Traore back from injury sets up a 97th minute winner for Fulham at Old Trafford.
Brighton only manage a draw at home to Everton which means Wolves can get closer to 7th spot with a win tomorrow
Played Fulham ,!!!
Hard luck Everton, keep fighting, you can do it.

I don't want Everton to do it. Personally, I hope the decision is upheld and them and Forest get another points deduction.
If they get away with not meeting FFP, then clubs like ours that just had to have a summer selling players are actually being punished for sticking to the rules.
Whether FFP is fair and should be abolished for future seasons is a different discussion to if clubs should be punished for not meeting it when it's in place.
The rights and wrongs of ffp has nothing to do with it tam. I like Everton because most Everton fans I've come across have been good people, same with west ham, Sunderland and man city.
Wolves’ Paraguayan youngster Enso Gonzalez has picked up a hip injury and will be out of action for at least a month. Guess his priority will be to be fully fit to play in the Olympics at the end of July which will be a good chance for us to see how good he is
This time tomorrow we could be 8th.
Stan Bowles has passed away. Quite a character who should have had more England caps.

I always thought drinking before the game was compulsory
If we win today then a screenshot of the league table would certainly be worth taking. Never expected to see us as high as 8th this season especially after we appointed Gary Who? in August. What a revelation he has been

You are totally correct, I did say drinking on the train tho I'll certainly be in a pub in wolves
Mean drinking on the train not before the game
Missing out on my pre match pint today, my post match recollections therefore may be sharper than usual.
Chaos for Liverpool fans as the line between lime st & Crewe is closed until 1pm, bad for me as well tho but have been driven into Warrington so can still make the game - scouse fan free tho which is a bonus
