This was a game too far, 3 in 8 days, just too much, especially when the toon had had a break.
3 games in 6 days actually which might have had a bearing on some of the injuries we’ve picked up
Just seen the goals
So unlucky on all three. Run of the ball against us.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Both wrong, 7 days.
There was certainly an element of fortune about each of the goals today and ironically, given the way we play, they all came from counter attacks.
With regard to the injuries, Sa collided with a post and picked up a knock but should be ok for next week. Neto was taken off as a precaution with a tight hamstring. They don’t expect that to cause him to miss games but we’ve heard that before with those kind of injuries. After having scans on his hamstring, Hwang will likely be out for 6 weeks. Cunha will be back a little before that, maybe the end of March.
Fraser had a couple of decent moments today and, because of our injuries, his chance may well come next weekend.
If Hwang had been rested when he came back from the Asia Cup, this could have been avoided.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn’t it.
Not hindsight Boston, I saw him at the Asian Cup and he didn't look fit to me. That's why I didn't think he should have started the first game on his return and said so on 'ere.
Not hindsight. Wolfie has been stating all season that our top scorer shouldn’t be starting. 👍
I've said my jury is still out on Hwang, not that he shouldn't have started any games this season.
I thought you stated on numerous occasions that he wouldn’t make your starting eleven?
I could be wrong of course. Maybe someone else can recall?
GON looks like facing the biggest challenge he has had since joining the club over the next few weeks. A game against Fulham we could do with winning to hold our place in the top half of the table, followed by that FA Cup quarter final.
We were getting used to a forward line of Neto, Hwang and Cunha at one stage. But now the possibility is that none of them will be fit for the coming games. Certainly Hwang and Cunha will be missing and it’s fingers crossed that Neto will be available.
A straight man for man replacement could see Sarabia, Fraser and Bellegarde. Or we could change the formation and play a midfield of Lemina, Doyle and Gomes (if fit) otherwise Traore. Or maybe push Ait Nouri forward and play Bueno or Doherty behind him.
Whatever, don’t think we’ll be going into those games with the confidence we would have hoped to have against Fulham and Coventry.
Personally I wouldn’t risk anyone against Fulham. Let’s go as strong as possible in the QF v Cov.
Imagine where we’d be in league, if our injury record was in line with the leagues average?
Surely it’s not too much to ask to have a full squad of first team players?
I agree, Coventry is what matters now. League is what it is, we will finish mid table which is nice. The cup gives us a slim chance of actually winning something memorable.
And i would play two up top three in midfield right now

A day out to Wembley for a semi final would be very memorable
The last semi final there was memorable. But not for the right reasons
One of my step daughters has just moved in to a flat in Wembley overlooking the stadium. Hope we'll be paying her a visit in April.

Have you tied the knot with your Evertonian lass yet goldi?
We have options for our wing backs, if we stick to a back 3 of Kilman, Dawson and Toti. Doherty and Bueno as wing backs and move Semedo and RAN up front. Lemina and Doyle/Gomes in the middle. Who plays the CF role depends who's fit and able, assuming Neto is out.
Slightly controversial, but it could work.

No mate, but being a leap year she was getting a bit of pressure from her mates and sister (who's desperate to go hat shopping) to pop the question last week . We're not bothered about it tbh, both been there and done it.
Step daughters are the ex's by the way - from her first marriage but they spent more time with me growing up than their Dad and we're all still close.

Might actually come to this, though we do still have Bellegarde and suspect that it would be Fraser up front. Other option of course is to give the kids a chance, Chirewa, Noha Lemina maybe.
I would like to see Noha Lemina feature. If you're good enough, you're old enough.
