The amount of talent in your squad is incredible. I would love to see Southgate take the shackles off but can't see it.
Tough one, ive always been a big fan of both ever since they came on the scene. But i think Foden edges it, im with G.Neville i think hes a generational talent.
I don’t really see it as a comparable much anymore tbh, they don’t play similar roles that often.

IIRC Southgate certainly seems enthusiastic about playing him there these days.
Well he’s played him there twice, ever, if that’s what you mean.

Where else has he played him recently?
When he plays him he only plays him in midfield iirc. Been a long time since I seen TAA at RB for England. Must have been years ago and it was very shortlived as it didn't work very well. Going off memory here though, so if it's wrong then my bad.

Nowhere, but I’m not sure him being played there against Malta and Macedonia, where he got booked in subbed, is a great indicator for what Southgate will start in a European Championship game.

Also gave him number 10 shirt for those games.
I guess I'm pushing this because I've always been in the TAA in midfield camp . Wonder if Klopp's successor will do it?

He played there twice when Bellingham was injured and was crap.
Foden and Saka are very different. Foden has exceptional body control, and he is great on the ball. Makes him so dangerous in tight spaces. Saka is far more intelligent and is involved in the game more. He is unique with small touches, link up play that makes him just as comparable to De Bruyne as a winger. Saka's goal involvement stats are only behind Bruno Fernandes and Odegaard this season!

He showed some pieces of real quality but overall was pretty crap as a midfielder. He just doesn’t look as comfortable starting in those congested midfield areas as he does stepping into midfield like he does for Liverpool.
Given he’ll likely miss the next internationals it looks unlikely he’ll be starting at the Euros in midfield.
My starting team would be:
Pickford
Walker, Stones, Maguire, Shaw
Rice, Trent
Saka, Bellingham, Foden
Kane
Quite a few good attacking players won’t even make the squad. Bowen? Maddison? Palmer? Sterling? Gordon? Solanke?
