It's important. Foden plays with Haaland who is one of the best strikers in the world and Saka plays with Havertz or Jesus.

quietly worked his way to 75 PL G+A, spending half his time at Brighton in relegation battles, constantly being moved into different positions. grate player

Personally I'd pick Saka for Liverpool because I think he fits neatly into the team structure. Or at least he would this season, when Klopp's replacement comes in then who knows.

Both absolute quality though and as almost everyone has said, alongside Bellingham and Kane, we really do have some attacking talent. Sadly we also have Southgate.

‘Chances created’ is subjective, it’s certainly not the same as actual goals and assists.

Wtf are Xassists?

I hope Hafi isn’t reading this

Expected assists

Just kill me now

The real question should be who has the highest expected completed passes and expected runs per game.....

Who had the most expected goalkicks out of Ederson and Onana yesterday?

Brighton's positions by season in the PL:

23/24 - 9th
22/23 - 6th
21/22 - 9th
20/21 - 16th (13 points clear of relegation)
19/20 - 15th
18/19 - 17th
17/18 - 15th

They only been in a relegation battle once in 6 seasons.

To say he has spent half his time in a relegation battle is a gross exaggeration.

Foden and Saka are very different. Foden has exceptional body control, and he is great on the ball. Makes him so dangerous in tight spaces. Saka is far more intelligent and is involved in the game more. He is unique with small touches, link up play that makes him just as comparable to De Bruyne as a winger. Saka's goal involvement stats are only behind Bruno Fernandes and Odegaard this season!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Is that stat right?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

No
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The claim that “Saka is more intelligent and involved in the game more” is possibly one of the most ridiculous comments I’ve seen on here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Why? Saka can play virtually anywhere on the pitch (except CB and DM) to a very high standard.

Tbh I wouldn't even be surprised if he did a decent job at DM.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
He may do but it doesn't change the point that he's far better than the likes of Havertz and Jesus. Could it not be that due to his movement he is able to forge out more big chances for himself than others and therefore will have a large number of misses?

Sorry, are we expecting the assist for the guy who misses the most big chances missed or not?

In fact let’s just all agree that expected assists can go in the Net Spend bin

Saka scores higher than Foden on xSa (expected Saka)

posted on 4/3/24

I forgot saka plays with havertz. For that I rate him a bit higher.

But I just think in terms of footballer, foden is better. Saka is very much in bursts. But foden can near enough control a game like b silva does

What? I remember Liverpool fans championing Steven Gerrard when he played DM, despite the fact Liverpool conceded 50 goals that year.
