Then Mario Gomez isn't overrated. You don't score over 300 goals and not be a very good player.

I know people realise he's a bit crap now, but I always found it weird how highly rated Tielemans was a few years back. A few thunderb*stards don't excuse having next to no impact in 95% of your appearances.

People always try to shoehorn him into the conversation around top 10 PL forwards. He doesn’t belong anywhere near it.

David Seaman was quite overrated, especially when you look at his lesser known (foreign) contemporaries, and his successors at Arsenal and the NT years later on.

He is miles ahead of all his successors at Arsenal, including Lehmann. Not sure any NT successor really matches him. Very bad offering imo, I think Seaman is actually under-rated in general largely based on Nayim from nowhere near the halfway line and Ronaldinhos mis-hit.

David was one of my favorite players as a kid, but in hindsight I don't think he was as good as fans and press painted him. The howlers have smirked his legacy a bit, yes, but his contemporaries on the continent were way more complete GKs and I dont think you could have had peak Wenger ball and the invincibles with him in goal...

Kaka and Weah are a bit harsh, but I guess it's funny and maybe not a coincidence that I can remember alot of big name Milan players who dropped way off right when they left the club.

I think he was the best number 10 for a period of time. It wasn't the quantity with Bergkamp, more the quality. Some of his assists needed vision that not many had.

Ledley King?

Like most players who had injuries, gets talked up a lot. Must admit I didn't see much of him because of the injuries

Isn't Gazza rated as someone who never really fulfilled his promise due to injuries and his own demons?
