He also scored more goals, more hat tricks, got more assists, and the goals he did score were loads better. Speak to any Liverpool fan off the terraces and they’ll say Fowler, and that is actually a fact.

You lot turned on Owen because he signed for us. Prior to that you lot idolized him.

Don't get me wrong Fowler was very good, excellent in fact, but Owen was elite.

Henry’s record in finals was pretty poor I think.

The Fowler vs Owen thing reminds of when people try and convince you that Ronaldo is better than Messi.

Interestingly Fowler and Owen have similar games/goals at Liverpool (Fowler 330/171 to Owen's 297/158) but I'd personally have to go for Fowler, he had more to his game than just goals.

I've no opinion on who was better Owen or Fowler because I didn't see enough, and rarely live.
But Fowler made scoring goals seem easier than anybody I've seen. He casually passed it into the net on many occasions.

Owen played at a higher level than Fowler, European and international level.
