You’ve sold your soles.
Looking at the highlights it was definitely an OG for the first. Also, what a job Nelson was doing on their keeper in all of the goals. Never noticed that before.
Warne was keen to give credit to Matt Hamshaw for the set-piece goals. Obviously we all grumble about how useless they are when the delivery isn’t quite right but there is a lot that goes on that generally escapes our notice. We are the best team in the division at attacking and defending set pieces despite being far from the biggest. Credit to the work that must go in on the training ground to achieve it.

Didn't notice the Nelson thing although it does get mentioned on commentary....I'll have another look at the highlights.
On another note, I think Bradley had a point to make today following his recent sending off... I think he came out fired up... and he did well.
Cheers. Terry in Spain. UTR

We've been doing it for a while. Big defender sits in front of GK to block.him out. Technically, it's a foul as soon as the ball is in play IF he hinders the GK but most oppo ask a defender to block Nelson which means Nelson ends up.occupying the Gk and a defender. Plus he won't get pulled up for fouling the GK.
It's a great ploy if oppo do put the extra defender on Nelson. They should leave him 121 on the keeper, which will end up with the ref giving a FK against Nelson.
On one of the goals that defender had him pinned to the ground. Could have been a peno otherwise but they never seem to get given. Unless you’re playing against Panama.

Exactly, Fin. They end up fouling Nelson. But because the defender is between the GK and Nelson, Nelson isn't adjudged to be impeding the goalie.
However, for all 3 goals, the keeper is more concerned with what Nelson is doing than where the ball is.
To be honest, whilst it's clever from us, it was v poor by them not to have a sensible plan for it. The better option is to let Nelson impede the keeper, having brought it to the refs attention first. GK far more likely to get the FK then.

Those three goals were the result of excellent corners. Sibley especially putting loads of top spin on the cross to cause the ball to dip. Normally the defending side has the advantage at corners but with a dipping cross it’s 50:50 as to which team’s player gets the ball. If Sibley can do corners like that why isn’t he stepping up for free kicks from a similar distance?
Too low in the pecking order, Spart ?
He's was able to deliver corners like that for JK, Cash etc when he was in the u18 team.
