My sources tell me that Shrewsbury have about as much chance of beating Bolton tomorrow as Spart has of correctly identifying a Derby player. The manager has even predicted that the keeper will get backache from having to reatedly retrieve the ball from his own net if the performance is similar to that at the weekend when they wre turned over by Wycombe.

Why is it that we are the only ones that can't beat this bunch of oafs masquerading as a football team? We have had four goes at it, and failed four times.

F, and I don't say this lightly, FS.

I think Shrewsbury are the only side this season that have taken more than 3 points from us over both games.

I'm optimistic Shrewsbury will manage to get a draw tomorrow. The level of pressure on Bolton tomorrow could be telling.

As it's your 'home town club,' I was hoping for a much more positive post from you. Spart's pessimism rubbing off?

Against us they are awkward beggars, wasting time from the first minute, trained in the dark arts, etc. At all other times they apparently step politely to one side and point out the general direction of their own net to their opponents.

Our best hope is they mistake Bolton”s kit for our own and think they are at Pride Park.

Hoping for but not expecting a Shrewsbury win or draw but it’s a funny time of the season. Liverpool and Arsenal had seemed invincible a couple of weeks ago. Leeds lost at home as well at the weekend. Bolton losing would do wonders for our nerves.
