I actually laughed hard just now. Are you saying that plays involving corners, free-kicks, penalties etc. don't count?

I'd rather have both in my squad. They are both different players. We needed a player who could play the deep lying role, something we've missed since Alonso left and thats what Adam provides.

Meireles is a box to box players, a more attacking midfielder and we have that in Gerrard. So for the purposes of the team I think we need Adam more than we need Meireles.

Other way round. Adam is the offensive midfielder. Meireles is the deeper one. You were just saying he scores goals and assists, a deep lying playmaker wouldn't do this. What's he on about? <fish>

Meireles had the best scoring spell in his career at Liverpool due to KK. Currently I'd say Meireles is the better player but Adam is more creative.

Yep, I remember when he was at Porto and all the Chelsea fans wanted him then. In fact AVB rated him so much then that he actually sold us him.

He had one pretty good season at Liverpool and now that he's at Chelsea he's suddenly become this awesome player. Fickle fans

At the end of the day Adam is younger than him so is better value. He is creative and will score goals and create goals. So I'm more than happy with Adam. And to be hinest I don't Meireles.

What is your point here. Do goals scored from open play, score you more points or something? This isn't rugby. Perhaps you win a hot date with Susan Boyle if your assist doesn't come from a set-piece? I'm confused, fill me in. I don't wanna be confused.

The Porto board sold Meireles against AVB's wishes. Get your facts right

We've played 4-2-3-1 this season and Adam is one of the two in front of the defence. He is given licence to go forward out of those two as Lucas sits back. When we play a 4-4-2, again he goes deep but is allowed to forward as Lucas sits back more. He was bought to fill the gap left by Alonso and plays a pretty similar role (quartr back role) although obviously not as well.
