This is just a stupid argument mate. You're better than this.

Comparing Adam and Meireles, you're comparing two decent players. Neither are world class, they are both good solid internationals. As neither is that much better than the other, and as they both have their pros and cons, you can use stats to make a valid comparison.

Xavi on the other hand is another level. Nobody would compare either Adam or Meireles with Xavi. A statistical comparison would be pointless because Xavi is by far the better player. Just like I wouldn't do a statistical comparison between Mata and Messi, as Messi is quite clearly the better player.

I Would take our midfield in an instance, Adam is pathetic and all he contributes are set pieces, i'll grant you Lucas is quite good, Henderson is terrible and Downing is a mid table winger at best. He wouldn't get into any of the Top 4 teams and so i would think about calling our midfield mediocre. IN fact our midfield has got us to third in the table while we're in transition, not bad for 'average' players aye? Fact is Meireles would get into your midfield and you know it, you were struggling to finish off a 10 man arsenal side, and looks who pops up with creativity and vision, was it Meireles? where was Adam then? You Pool fans need to remember your place as the team who could have gone on to greatness, but are now on the decline as a team battling for 4th place.
