Falkirk have issued a joint statement between themselves, Raith Rovers, Hamilton and Queen of the South that rebukes the SPFL's proposal to ban artificial pitches in the Scottish Premiership.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Perhaps they should ask their staff who actually ply their trade...

73 per cent of the 705 professional players questioned would rather play on deteriorating grass than a 3G pitch, while 72 per cent believed that synthetic pitches were more likely to cause injuries. Source:SPFA

Tottenham & West Ham are reportedly set to enter the race to sign Mat O'Riley from Celtic this summer.

Clubs like Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and Manchester United have been linked with him recently. In fact, the Spanish club tried to sign him in the winter but were unsuccessful.

Fabrizio Romano also reported in the winter window that it wiould take a record fee to lure Matt O'Riley away from Celtic & it's looking increasingly likely there may be bidding war for the Danish mans signature.

£30M please.

Proportionally, it would be about right for that number of clubs to represent the 27% or so of players who would rather play on 3G

I understand teams with artificial pitches wanting to preserve them. However none of the teams listed play in the league that is proposing the ban.

You are making an assumption that may not be true. More likely the 27% were ‘don’t cares’?

i don't think anyone can deny his talent, with a run of games he could easily be our best winger.

might end up savings up 8-10 million.

He really ought to follow Lewis Morgan and give the MLS a chance - better weather, better salary than he will command here, more protection from refs.

posted on 23/5/24

he's too good for the MLS.

give him a run of 10-20 games and he will run amok mate.

Morgan was terrible, mind that league cup final against rangers? absolutely pants.

give MJ a run and he will be poty easy.

Whats not to love?
