Has Eze ever played on the right?

what sorta budget you thinking to sign this player?

I think you need a striker the most:

Osihmen
Openda
Guirassy
Jonathan David
Gyokres
Vlahovic

Of that list I think the only guy that would struggle to be in your budget would be Osihmen. I cant see Spurs forking out 90-110m for him?

Priority positions for me are a Right winger, Center forward, Central midfielder and a back up left back

What happens if Porro or Vic are not available?

I would say these are priority positions as well.

I would risk Olise over Eze. Only because Eze has had more serious injuries and I doubt he could play a run of games consecutively without breaking down.

I think it’s the outstanding DM, Biss isn’t that guy. Bentancur is a box to box mid as is Sarr. PEH is not good enough.

Palhinha is probably the one. Ederson and Gallagher will improve us, but possibly not enough for a title challenge or FA cup.

We’re already good enough for the Europa if we take it seriously.

My answer is Palhinha

I think Eze is achievable as a BASE represented player but the problem is that with United and Chelsea being very likely destinations for Olise this summer, I just can't see them selling both players. They'll only sell one and Olise is much closer to the exit door than Eze is.

Everything is for sale at Palace, they will sell both if the money is good enough. If they got £150m for the pair then Glasner could build them a hell of a side with that, he would be scooping up loads of Bundesliga talent.

Jacob Greaves
Hayden Hackney
Geertruida
Bakayoko
Gyokores/Sesko - one of the top tier CF options. if we can't get any of them then just use Parrott instead of spending silly money on average older players like Toney and Solanke

Vicario
Austin

Porro Romero VDV Udogie
Geertruida Dragusin <-Greaves->

Sarr Bissouma Maddison
Bentancur Hackney Deki

Bakayoko Gyokores Son
Brennan Richy Werner

if a good offer comes in for Bissouma replace him with Onana

posted on 29/5/24

oh and Bergvall should be there too

Eze never plays on the right. Would be a good signing to push Son and Maddison for a place on the left or through the middle. Wouldn’t surprise me if he ends up at Arsenal, though.

They've no need to yet. It's not great PR to sell your best assets in the same window. I think they've both got a few years to run on their respective contracts too. They'll sell one to reinvest and keep the other. Guaranteed.

You talk as if he'd be happy to take the money. He wouldn't. He'd want a bit of cash to spend but he'd prefer to keep two outstanding players on his books. They've single-handedly given him the best start he could have expected, along with Mateta. Why would he want to undo all that?

I see him as the Maddison alternative.

Would be just as happy with MGW - who we will more likely get given Forest will be cash strapped again. Do t get the CHO links at all

probably with MGW is they paid so much for him that the profit they get back won't do much for their PSR

that's why they're flogging cho so actively - they only paid like 3m for him.

He is a canny manager, who knows the Bundesliga like the back of his schlooong. I think he would fancy his chances with £150m this summer rather than Palace dragging it out over 2 summers. What’s the expectation at Palace anyway? Finally win a trophy? Finish above Brighton again? Qualify for their first ever Euro campaign?

If they are only going to sell one then surely it will be 25 year old Eze who has a shorter contract than 22 year old Olise ?

That answers why we’re interested, thank you

I think the CHO stuff faded the last few days right before we signed Werner - think that ship has sailed

posted on 29/5/24

Paul O'Keefe said that we enquired about MGW and was told he wasn't for sale but they were interested in flogging to us CHO instead, which is why that hit the news the other day. We weren't interested apparently. Both are highly unlikely.

posted on 29/5/24

Yeah sure Palace are just going to sell two of the best players in the league so that they can go shopping in the Bundesliga. Makes a whole lot of sense.

Well I’m glad there is nowt happening with CHO. I do like MGW though and Forest might get desperate - fingers crossed.

Wouldn’t be a surprise if he ended up benching Maddison. But given Son has often played through the middle, there’s that option to play him wide as well. Although he’s not as good having to stay high and wide like Ange seems to want for those positions.

MGW does look a good player. Will be interesting to see what happens with him. Part of the issue with some of these could be game time, though. Especially with some on the cusp of the England squad. Not always the case, but then you need to consider wages. Players are more likely to be happy without having the minutes they’d like if they are well compensated. Whether that’s something Spurs are prepared to do remains to be seen.

If Sancho or Rashford became available, should we show any interest in them?

Yes is the short answer. Marcus Rashford is the modern day Jermain Defoe - very streaky, but when he is in a purple patch he is unstoppable.

Sancho was never as bad as was being made out - he just needs to feel loved and is still a bit immature.

I can’t see United letting Rashford go though and he would have plenty of suitors.

I think Dortmund will make a decent offer for Sancho and he will want to go there as it’s his home really

Spurs would never spend the money on the fees and wages needed to get them.
