Yes and no sadly. Trump is also very much cognitively challenged but he can still at least somewhat appear kind of normal to most people. I said in my thread earlier that if the Democrats had the courage to take Biden out and put Newsom in they’d beat Trump fairly easy imo. Instead they’re taking a huge chance on the future of America by going with Biden again.

They don't even like him in California

He won hIs last election in 2022 with 59% of the vote.

None of my business maybe, but I find that very disrespectful towards VC
A while ago, i saw a US polling/political expert (cant remember who) suggest that Biden would win relatively comfortably if he was up against Trump. However, Biden would have struggled if the Republicans put forward an alternative candidate.
Bidens performance is a real head scratcher for the Democrats. If Biden decides to stand down he needs to do it ASAP in my opinion.

And I thought snowflakes couldn't last long in Australia
What will last night change, in my view,
Trump will not have won any new voters because he didn't say anything new, or for the most part, that was true. He came across much as we have seen of late, a rambling buffoon with no policies that any rational person would vote for.
Some Dems will start to panic for sure but come crunch time they will still vote for Biden as they know how bad for the country the alternative is.
The crux will be by how much the needle moves with Independent voters. We won't see that until next week's polls come out.

Depends on how close the vote is and from all polls this one is very close. Even losing a few thousand voters in key states who hate how Biden has overseen a genocide could be the difference. And I don’t mean losing voters to Trump. Just more that they might not want to vote for Biden so will go independent or not vote at all.
There seems to be a theory that the dems set this all up to get Biden out. That he didn’t need to to a debate and it was part of a plan to make him look incompetent on the large stage and bring someone else in. Interesting if true.
Did anyone see this clip? Trump’s reaction as well makes it better

Biden hasn’t been bad though - domestically. He’s actually improved many things but the issue is that he’s crumbling in front our eyes age-wise and no longer looks like he knows where he is and what he’s doing. That doesn’t present a strong front to the world and it’s an issue. But as far as a president goes, he’s done miles better than Trump did.
CNN reporting that senior Democrats are for the first time considering going public in calling for President Biden to step aside after “dismal” debate performance.
