Shows how badly we fcked up last season.
Now we face the consequences.

This seems to answer the question I asked a couple weeks back about PSR. And were we in trouble.
I was told we weren't. This transfer says we are.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is what worries me. Financials are worse than what has been suggested by club. What does this mean for Summerville and Gnonto??
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss, we wont be fooled again.
Lyrcs from The Who seem so apt.
Very depressing
Taking emotion out of it butIf its 40m leeds can't say no. I think that must be a championship record sale. I'm sorry but Farke wouldn't be furious. As good as Grays potential is, he isn't a key player for next season. Need to see some intent with the money though.

Agree.
Heat of the moment. Club has a long way to go
now to get fans on their side of this.

Yeah that’s fair when you take a step back. But why isn’t Farke being consulted and what does it mean for the potential sales of others. Suspect we have a bumpy few weeks ahead
So what's next? Rutter to Ipswich?
Would be totally fine if it's Bamford to Ipswich.
Or Bamford to Timbuktu. Either works.
What a price. Hate to see him go but no way are we being fleeced. Much better move for the lad then sitting on some big clubs bench.
Wish him all the best but can't say I won't regret not seeing him have a long career with us in the PL.
The only constant for the last few decades is we'll always have sh!t owners.

Sad but 40M for an18 year old - good business taking the obvious sentiment out of it - PSR is a real pain in the ...
...could be more if any truth in latest player gazumping reports.
Reading about Archie not wanting to go, Eddie being upset and Farke not happy about all this and wanting out just makes me feel wtf I can't be rrssed with it all.
I'm getting Celino being chased out of Elland Road
flashbacks and like others have said there needs to be some serious show of intent from the owners regarding new signings now to calm the situation which if that doesn't happen I could well see things getting very ugly.
A anyone still think the loan clauses were a good idea?
We've asked for a left back, No.10, striker....
We expect to get promoted so need those purchases to be Premier League level.... those aren't cheap loan freebies....
Got this feeling this situation with Archie, much as it hurts emotionally, puts us TOTALLY in control as regards selling anyone else in this window, meaning we can hold out for top prices for Simerville, Gnonto, Meslier, or whomever there's demand for from outside.
My other thought was, at the end of this season, if we don't go up, which is always possible as per this year, the value of our remaining assets and any we might buy this summer, might diminish to the extent that the financial handcuffs we had to 30 June this year might fade into insignificance versus the potential situation next year! Am sure 49ers have had to plan for this eventuality too.
Heartbreaking to upset Archie, Eddie etc if true, but 49ers bought to make a buck. They ain't gonna be happy, as some fans might be, to just stay in the Championship as one of the top dogs and dream about Bielsa.
Cresswell leaving for £3.8m too
Yes nicely put Salonika and logically my mindset is of the opinion that a short sharp kick in the goolies will hurt like crazy but once the swelling has gone down normal service will return but it hasn't half created a very ugly mood around the club but hopefully a silver lining is imminent to restore everyone's faith and optimism for the new season.

This is a weird one for me. Farke fcked this up.
And only Farke. Got his ego bent out of shape
when Cresswell's dad made it known they weren't
happy at no game time.
Farke then blocks the January move. But follows
that up with not playing Charlie at all. Farke was
a complete fcking idiot over this.
Good luck to Charlie.
And if Farke is bent out of shape over Archie,
understandable. However, if he wants to protest
walk out of the club, I for one will not be fussed
at all. Go. Plenty of other managers out there.
Cresswell is just not good enough on the ball. We dominate the ball and the cbs need to be good and progressing the ball forward. 3.8m ain't bad for player that is 22 and has had 1 decent season in the championship
And still, after all this turmoil, no fcker's willing
to take medical tent Bamford off our hands. Brutal.
I was shocked by this
But it's a good deal all round
We get great money for a young player who although of great potential isn't maybe as important to a promotion push as say a Somerville. If we can now keep him
It's a great move for Gray. Brentford are steady. They will play him. Its a perfect place for him in the PL without huge pressure to grow
Its a fine signing for Brentford who can develop him and likely make a profit in the future
Shocker for us fans to see one or.our own go, but we're used.to.it by now

Sorry I pressed send by mistake but basically I was going to say... Batts if Farke effs off who the eff are we going to get???
I know he isn't perfect but for the Championship I'm not sure there is anyone better but maybe you can come up with a few realistic options to remind me.
Macca there's plenty of managers/coaches out there.
If the club are held to ransom by Farke, then we're
nowhere near as big a club as we make ourselves out
to be. Let's face it, Farke fcked up last season.
Three clubs came down. Two went up.
Farke had resources far beyond 21 other clubs.
He's replaceable.
