The fans are the most annoying worst of the worst however. Most most annoying arrogant full of rubbish and least humble you can meet most the time.

Whether we care to admit it or not the rivalry with Liverpool is there, in part, due to how similar the club are. I respect them as a club immensely. Me wanting them to lose should be seen as being respectful!

There has always been an economic rivalry between the two cities, probably going back to the industrial revolution. The fact United and Liverpool are the two most successful clubs in England has added to that - and the bad blood has just built up over the years.

The rivalry isn't just between the clubs but between the cities themselves. From the days of the Industrial revolution, cotton and slaves arriving by ship and the building of the Manchester ship canal.
In more modern times the two cities are so similar geopolitically, socially as well as economically. We both have a similar contempt for those politicians down south, particularly those with a blue riband on. This is what narks me about the 'dipper' tag that gets thrown around by some United fans, usually those not from Manchester.
And of course the two teams being the most successful in the country and sport plays a little part

It’s not so much of a rivalry these days as United has become a bit of an irrelevance competing for community shield trophies while we’ve been winning league and European competitions.
I’d say our main rivalry especially in the Klopp era has been with Man City and Pep.
