‘But if you’ve ever played or even watched football in your life you should know it’s never a foul.’
You’re never getting away with your elbow connecting with a player’s head in the modern game-whether you and I like it or not. That’s the point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You’ve just said you don’t think it’s a foul… even in Europe it’s not a foul. Where else should his arms be?
His arms are at his side, they’re in a natural position. They’re not up or high.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not connecting with another player’s head?!
I don’t make the rules and don’t enforce them. I’ll say it again-I can’t remember the last time I saw that kind of incident and a foul wasn’t given.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Rather than just admit it was an awful decision, you are giving it this pi$h
Bedtime
I'm so fcking glad you don't make the rules....last I checked the game was still a contact sport and a player could jump for a header and win it, and if the guy he out jumped simply crashed into the side of him and onto his erse, he wouldn't get a free kick for it

‘So if a player runs up, dives at you, and his head "connects with your elbow"....is that a foul aye?’
Ffs-that’s a really idiotic way of taking what I said literally. Think it’s obvious what I meant.
What a meltdown. Cheers Stevie.
And don’t worry-I’ll sleep sound tonight.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah...idiotic is a very apt way to sum up the crap you've posted tonight
You've took the argument of a player already being on a yellow and having to be careful when jumping for a header....and ran with it so far it's unreal
Jefte's elbow didn't connect with the players head
Jefte's arm was by his side, and he out jumped the player...massivelt.....meaning the only contact the player made was with the side of Jefte, exactly where his arm was
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Aw, fvck up. See if you had a working brain cell, you’d be able to understand what I was saying instead of just jumping in 2 footed. Can guarantee that if it was Kiev player on a rangers player, not one rangers fan would have disagreed with it being a foul.
I’d be annoyed if it happened to a Celtic player, but that’s what happen in these situations.

So where should his arm be?
Otherwise you’re saying Stevie’s daft point that you can just header an elbow to get a foul is right
I couldn’t care less where his arm ‘should be’!
He couldn’t do anything about it, that’s why I said at best, it’s soft. That’s why I said I don’t think it’s a foul.
His elbow connected with the player’s head-that’ll always be a foul. All these examples of when that hasn’t happened is drowning me. There’s fouls every week where you can say ‘what else was he supposed to do there’ or ‘’he couldn’t do anything about that’. All the time. It’s passing your eyes that I’ve not said I agreed with the decision at all.
Modern game. Nothing to do with out jumping folk, or being higher than the other player. Elbow connect with the head in that situation-can’t remember seeing anything other than a foul these days.

Naw you didn’t dafty
I've seen them given for players having their arms bent and their elbow sharp connecting
I've seen them given for players crashing into other players with momentum, towards the player, endangering them
I can honestly say I've never seen them given for a playing jumping so high and winning the ball, with the defender basically making a half ersed attempt to challenge, failing to do so miserably, crashing into the opponent, then going doing holding his face coz he's made a proper khunt of himself

Weird thing is, neither you nor renegade have made even one suggestion of a similar incident where a foul wasn’t given. Players out jump other players every game, and no foul is given. What was different here?

I'm not really in the habit of remembering all those times in games that a player has out jumped another one to a header I do apologise
You are very good at asking us to provide similar examples.....you show me one where a player makes minimal contact with his elbow, if any, more his arm, and not only gets yellow carded, but a second yellow and sent off
Your stance is a fcking shambles on this
Barely a single player in any game in the world would ever escape without a yellow card if challenges like Jefte's were cast-iron bookable offences.
The decision was a farce. And the ref regretted it pretty much as soon as he produced the subsequent red card imo.
https://x.com/officialdinsey/status/1823451073110999075?s=46
The ref did Rangers a favour. The lad is never a footballer. You really have to wonder who scouted that lad.
Commentator said that Rangers believe he has great potential and a lot of room for improvement. At least one of those opinions is accurate.
Sounds like Rangers were unlucky and had some dodgy decisions against. I won’t float as I know we will have it coming for us again in the CL, for some reason, Scottish clubs get a hard time in Europe and decisions always go against us. I still can’t believe the decisions against us last year, especially the Maeda sending off 🤦♂️ - even Scotland in the Euros 😂. We just do not get the decision’s unfortunately !
Just watched brief BBC highlights. Wasn’t a classic then?! Aye, Jefte 2nd yellow looks a bit of a shocker … can’t comment on other fouls he might have got away with. Think the ‘Gers might well have nicked that at a bouncing Ibrox … cost of that steel just ramped up some more. BTW, Partizan Belgrade must be absolutely honking to have lost 9-2 on agg to that mob … altho I’m fully aware that the ‘Tic are likely to be on the end of some hidings in the CL games to come.
