Have to credit INEOS for not standing down on the transfer fee either for McTominay

I wonder if this could mean we go for another midfielder too? Perhaps someone like Rabiot on a free?

Has Ugarte had any kind of pre-season? If he hasn't it's difficult to see him being thrown straight in against Liverpool considering he hasn't played since the Copa America third-place play-off and Ten Hag has pretty much used a team which has had some kind of pre-season.

Yes, please! Someone who can control matches. It will then give us the options we need in CM; use Mainoo more sparingly too.

Good point. Just checked and he didn't seem to be involved in their two friendlies at the start of the month.

Perhaps Ten Hag doesn't mind throwing in ex Sporting midfielders though!

Don't tell me McT is going to turn it down please! I think he's open to the move if these negotiations are at this stage.
