It was dreary and uninspired against Barrow. However, it doesn’t matter much in the long run. What we do in the remaining hours of the transfer window matter a lot more. I think we all need a bit of a morale boost with some sort of talisman up front. I would love it to Joe Taylor though he isn’t the big lad Warne seems to want. The Middlesbrough performance was superb in its way but we can’t expect to pull out that sort of attritional masterclass every week.

I didn't see the Barrow game, only the YouTube highlights. So whilst disappointing I felt that yes, we were below par... but we could have won it from open play...as of course could Barrow. I always find it irritating when players miss penalties but it happens. Only Collins missed the target completely as he'd tried to put it high jnto the net, but it went over the bar...so a bad miss. For me, when you place it either side of the goalie, the keeper often has a 50/50 chance of saving it...which is what happened with Forsyth and Jackson. These upsets happen in the cup. Ipswich went outside Wimbledon also on penalties.

...and I just heard that Cashin is helping out Mr Zan (Zanfish) as he's short of staff. Apparently he's a Battering Ram....
Terry, Jackson beat the keeper sending him completely the wrong way, but he hit the inside of the post and it cannoned into the back of the keeper and away (rather than deflecting in!!). An inch the other way and we're probably away to Chelsea .....

He looked really good when he first broke into the Liverpool team a few years ago. Not sure what happened to him. Think he landed himself a fat contract based on initial great promise but hasn’t been quite good enough at the very top level. It’s a great signing for us if it goes through.
£65,000/week is rumoured, in the final year of that now.

We really do seem to love an Ipswich player at the minute. With Al-Hamadi linked but deal unlikely we may return for him in January?
