MATCH DAY!!!!!!

Hopefully the loanees will be of sufficient quality to ensure we stay in this league for another season. Which three teams does anyone think are worse than us?

Haven’t seen every team and a season is long. For much of last season we didn’t look like automatic promotion candidates. Under Warne we have always looked very well organised out of possession but it’s fair to say we haven’t loved the attacking play. Hopefully getting more skilful players into the team will alter that and we might see more play through the midfield.

Not sure that's an easy one to call. In the same way that a team can have a 'new manager bounce' they could plummet too such as Birmingham City did last season.

I'm hoping Wayne Rooney remains with Plymouth for the majority of the season as I consider them relegation candidates this season.

Good measure of where we are, today, before the reinforcements come in. Facing a Briz side, under a young progressive manager, in a similar mould to Kieran McKenna, who are looking to be in & around the playoffs. Interested to see how the former Rams Academy lads will influence the game and whether a current one will get a chance.
Hurts to say it Desi, but I wouldnt mind bringing in a bit of Ipswich magic, if we can Harness some

It seems that as no one can identify three teams potentially worse than ourselves that we will have a struggle to survive this season. Of the two league games we lost both were lost when we came out of our defensive shell. As in a game of chess attacking always leaves you exposed unless you are able to press your attack for a sustained period, I think the same is true of football. This defend for dear life then have short attacking spell isn’t working. With some quality we may be able to be more effective in our “good” spells.

Well Boro for one obviously as we already beat them …

We want to see progress and I think that if you stand back a bit there is substantial evidence of that since Clowes took over. It’s easy to point out where we are lacking but overall we are heading in the right direction. Phillips, Kenzo, Ozoh, Adams, Yates, Jackson, Harness are all good signings. Most are loans of course which is part of the modern game but it means that another new team will need to be built next season unless some are converted into permanent signings. If we can get in a free agent target man who is competent at this level we should be OK. Ladapo seems the likeliest contender.

There's always one club in the Champ that implodes. Luton have had some great years but that soon catches up and they could be the one with a double relegation if things don't improve ( No wins in 4 for example)

I thought 40 points would be our safety points mark but it's actually 51 to survive this division based on last season. Got to find a way of winning at least 15 of our home games out of 23 and a couple of random away wins.

Against the run of play. Another day we could have lost by three goals playing like that.

Key has got to be our home games. Think 15 home wins will be beyond most teams never mind us.

Thats football. 80% possession but end up losing the game. Peppering the goal with shots but leave the match having lost 1-0.

We've got to take our opportunities (Middlesbrough gift) and create them. We'll be battered against certain Champ teams ( not looking forward to Burnley, Leeds for example) but those sides that come with inconsistent form we have to pick off.

Good weekend for the Academy.
U21s won 1-0 v Newc, holding on to an early Wheeldon goal.
U18s beat Stoke 6-2 today. Warne should play a few of these lads, theyre on fire this season.

Any realist understood that this was going to be a difficult season. What worries me more than anything is that I think we will struggle to score. We’ve been trying to improve up front for 3 transfer windows and for all intents and purposes we’ve signed three crocks in that period in TJJ, CBT and Washington.
