surely he isn’t on top of a Munro sending this

I guess the purpose is to establish the quality of PL player left if indeed foreigners that moved to the PL for money, keep moving to Saudi for more money. Because obviously no English player in their prime is going to move to Saudi.

Just another example of the dumbing down of the BBC. Or Loveislandification as I like to refer to it as, that's happening all over the media. It will be a word one day.

So if you can only include English players in the PL team, surely there should only be Saudi players in the Saudi team?

I left out the over the hill ones. These players are close to their primes

Toney and Mitrovic both under 30 and both better than Watkins. Savic under 30. Fantastic player. Neves mid twenties. Was a target for the big PL clubs. Laporte just turned 30. Mane the same age as PL best player Salah.

Mahrez the same age as the other best PL player, De Bruyne.

Reckon the English media have done a number on you.

There was a good article a year or so ago where posters on the site were claiming that no decent player in their peak would ever go to Saudi.

Now we have England's number 2 striker and (would have been) future number 1 going there in his prime.

The goalposts keep getting shifted in the name of ignoring what is happening.

We are getting closer to the point where a top foreign player would choose Saudi over the likes of Chelsea for more money.

We are probably at that point now anyway.

When is the last time a PL club signed a really big name for loads of money anyway?

Depends what your definition for really big name is, but I'm sure you will shift those goalposts.
